How do I get FFVIIHook to work on the Fitgirl Repack version? It just says it doesn't recognize the game version, despite the fact that it's a lossless repack and thus no files have been altered. I just want to apply the optimization mods. I've applied the Tenoke patches too

This. I might not like some aspect of the games but no Final Fantasy game ever made me hate it (except X-2).

I'm not lying when I said I like Remakes and both are 10/10 RPG.
Shame that people are so blinded for nostalgia that they can't enjoy new things.

The battle system is 10/10 and is definitely what future FFs should have basis with.

Having never played the original due to only having a Nintendo 64 back then I decided to try this one. I was having a very good time for the first five to seven hours. I am no at the tower of Shinra having met Mayor Domino and I can't take it anymore. The dodging is wonky, it hardly works. You still take significant damage even if you are blocking. You have to switch to your other characters because they hardly attack on their own. I am tired of squeezing through cracks. I am tired of walking on catwalks. I am tired of crouching through tight spots. I am tired of hearing the endless profanity that comes out of everyone, but especially Barret. Barret and Aerith sound like cartoons and the game is trying to be really dark and serious. So they stand out like a sore thumb. Cursing doesn't make you sound mature, or even edgy. These characters can't go on for more than 15 seconds without spewing profanity. I think I will finish the rest by watching it on Youtube.
