Season 4 and ultimately Season 5 will seal the deal if it will follow a downwards trend or if it will rise again.
If S3, 4 and 5 are all duds then that's a problem.

S4 is already under production, so can't really be changed. So if it is indeed china with the Mandarin as the bad guy, Daredevil as another duelist and some literal who strategist that's another dud season.
So realistically, what it all comes down to is what they do with Season 5.

Vampires are overrepresented in media. There are other interesting monsters. Especially when most vampires in anime aren't even vampires, just something like a little girl that doesn't age and that's it.
