His daughter does not know what's best for herself. She can't even keep sight of the fact that painted Verso is not her real brother. This woman is delusional.

In Verso's dying moment, she reveals as much as well. From the moment she wakes up as Alicia at the beginning of act 2, her goal is to live a life where her brother didn't die due to her actions.

Alicia's only concern is deluding herself into feeling like Verso is alive. She has every motivation Aline had, only stronger, because she bears guilt over being responsible for his death. Everything she says about wanting to be called Maelle or caring about Lumiere (which Maelle did not) is a cope and a lie.

>Alicia was open to Renoir's plan after Act 2 until he was just like "yeah, let's destroy everything".
That's an extremely generous interpretation of Alicia's point of view and an extremely unforgiving one of Renoir's. Alicia's plan was all "I'll stay and papa will help." Renoir's plan was all "We're all leaving and the canvas is going away." This idea that Alicia was ever open to some kind of middle ground is a fiction invented by people who need to feel justified in their ending choice. Alicia was never willing to leave. She was there for the same reason as Aline - to pretend Verso was still alive. Her motivation was even stronger, because she killed him.

>she is somehow skilled enough to bring Sciel's husband back.
Is she? That's as much an assumption as anything else. We see him sitting next to Sciel. It's not like they have any conversations or do anything that would test how sophisticated his reconstruction was.
>Sciel
and lune, yes, she grabbed their Chroma a very short time after they were gommaged.
> I don't buy Maelle is a piece of shit and doesn't care to bring Lumiere back.
I feel that her true colors showed when the chips were all down during her fight with Verso. These are just my interpretations, of course, but I hope you'll see there's some logic to them.
