Yes I am. I want my Fire Emblem games to have a compelling story, otherwise the rest of it isn't as impactful. If I don't care who these characters are or why they're fighting that's less of a reason to care about them in gameplay. People had problems with FE8 having a lackluster story and worldbuilding back in the early days of the Western fandom. The Western fandom was almost wiped out by the DS remakes having nothing stories. The idea that story doesn't add to FE games only became a thing when Awakening came out and millions of new people started playing. And that cope was proven wrong again when Three Houses came out and became the biggest game in the franchise on the back of its story, worldbuilding, and characters. Engage didn't have that. It was another Komuro game so people trotted out the same Komuro defense. So no, fuck off. Tourists don't get to tell me what I value in a franchise I've been playing for over twenty years.
