She wouldn't tell him its aids. She'd say its a super serum or the precursor to a super serum that will save the monster race. She'll conveniently leave out how it kills the person its injected into. And maybe throw in some ego stroking about brave of a hero he'd be for saving everyone and helping her so much.
If he did find out that its aids, there's no way he'd take it. He'd either invent some BS reason to back out or find a way to fake taking it.
