Raj Ramaswammy Patel lines up at WR. What a story folks. Came to the US at 18 on an HB1 visa to work in a call center and fell in love with football and through hard work has made his way to the Jets starting line up. Jets in a 4 wide formation. Ball snapped and Patel gets the bubble screen and cuts up field. Heโ€™s got day light. To the 40 the 30. Patel stops suddenly. He is dropping his pants. Patel is shitting a solid stream on the 20 yard line. The absolute humanity.

Congrats again to the Eagles, you beat a team without their WR1, WR2, RB1, RB2 and a guard starting at the LT position which every ball knower would tell you is the 2nd most important position in football since they protect the QB's blindside. There's definitely not an asterisk in your win, I mean we have no clue what would have happened if these teams played each other with healthy rosters aside from that one example in 2022 where they played each other in the Superbowl, tell me again how that game played out.

>He is the progenitor of this whole tawdry episode of poseurs, 30 pieces of silver, player leadership manque and avarice. What of him? God bless the NFLPA so that it may return to its hallowed annals.

This is from an email sent by NFLPA Lead Security Officer Craig Jones and a bunch of people in the comments on the article have no idea what it means lmfao. I know I talk shit but seriously how uneducated is the average American? The references to avarice and 30 pieces of silver are obvious

did anyone see that anon post in the last thread talking about how he was gonna kill himself during the season because of how much of a loser he is, even though his saints won in 09? that post really spoke to me, it felt like i wrote it myself. everything pretty much matched exactly what my life is like even down to age. although he was talking about fantasy football, and i dont even play fantasy football anymore because i realized its very boring if youre playing with people who you dont even know. and despite having some really good seasons the past 15 years, i havent seen my team win a super bowl.

its weird to think that some anons are in a very similar position to you and youre thinking of the same things even when you both have a shared interest like nfl. anyway if that anon reads this, you mentioned how your father would be upset by it, i know this is just a stupid meme but i saw this recently and it made me actually cry thinking about if i were tokill myself so maybe it can help you

because for some people, life is absolutely horrible and miserable and isnt worth waiting around for another 40, 50 years of suffering because "its gonna happen anyway dude". i was even thinking this as i watched my teams lose the super bowl a number of years back. first i was upset. then i realized my life wouldnt change one iota if they won. if they had won, i would be happy for a few minutes, then within a few hours i would be going to bed alone, thinking about having to live my miserable life the next day moving forward again. not even sports can help save me from it anymore.

Anhedonia fucking sucks. People think not being able to do what you what you want is unfulfilling but the thing is, in those cases there's still the possibility of eventually getting the thing you want and enjoying it.

If you actually *have* the things you want like enough money to live comfortably or the hot gf or time to pursue your interests, and come to realize there's still no pleasure in it, that's the real blackpill because there's nowhere to go. You can't cope by saying things will better because things are already good and it doesn't matter. It shatters the idea that you would be happy under different circumstances and you realize its just you and it will be like this everywhere and always

depends on the team desu. for a pats or cheifs fag, yeah another chip is just whatever. but when youre a punished franchise your whole life and you finally get that first championship, the emotional high will definitely last longer than a day. when the saints won I was a lot happier for the entire offseason and the day of the win was the purest joy ive felt in my life. People were running out into the street screaming, the highway leading into the city was bumper to bumper to traffic and everyone had their windows down, blaring their horns. its unlike anything else youll experience but you only get that once imo.

i suffered from severe depression from 18-23. nothing felt good, everything in life sucked, and i just like i was drifting through life. the thing is, that sensation eventually gave way and i haven't felt that way sense. the difference is i felt no need to kill myself, even if i knew the only pleasure i would get out of life was fleeting, that was still worth it to "i dont want to get out of bed and sleep until 6pm", even if that bit of pleasure was jacking off 3 times a day.
but, life is different for each person, and even if my life is nearly identical to when i was 20 aside from my perspective, if your life is that shit, its still your choice to make though

my team is the 49ers, and im your same age. obviously youll say its not a tortured franchise, but despite being a lifelong fan watching regularly since around 1998 or 1999, i was only 3 years old when they won the last title so i didnt know what was going on, and the vast majority of my watching seasons, they have been terrible. the last 2 chiefs super bowls, ive had that feeling of happiness and excitement when i thought a win might be coming, then before they even lost, thinking "why do i care about this, who cares if they win, my life will still be shit, and then ill have to watch all the rich tech faggots here being happy too which will make me miserable anyway"

my life has been easier than any generation before me by a metric incomprehensible.

I might be a crippled, broken failed human at 30, but the reality is I can still live in an airconditioned, 1 bedroom apartment working from home or doing any amount of office work that would have doomed me in any other era of society.

There being no afterlife is even more fucking reason to cherish what you have before you die, im a colossal fuckup treading water in every aspect of my life, but i long abandoned my suicidal ideations nearly a decade ago. It's selfish in general, and most people who do it have people who wish deep down nothing more for you to succeed.

It might or probably not exist but I just don't wanna take any chances.
I know it sucks because every hour is some mixture of depressing, boring and/or not feeling at peace/content, and your own mind might feel sort of like a living in a very bad neighborhood, so I don't wanna come across patronizing or like there's some flip we can switch. I wish I had some good things to say, other than I think things can change (which I do believe, as I don't feel AS bad now as I have in the past).

I think you've mentioned meth before and that was my main one too. It actually might've saved me once during a time when I was waking up every day thinking about suicide, and decided to try getting back into it again first. Of course for me it spiraled and led to an arrest because I have no self control, but imo it is one of the drugs that can be taken somewhat responsibly, especially if just taken orally. I'm kinda in the same boat, I'm at least keeping the option open for myself in the future.

not for me, sadly. the only way to do it "responsible" is a small dose early in the morning, and then wait AT LEAST a day later after youve slept to dose again. but once Im in my happy stimmed-out headspace, I dont care about anything except keeping it going. meaning I WILL redose everytime, which means staying up all night, and then probably the next night, and then probably the next night too. I tried "cutting back" by switching to adderall/vyvanse, but it was just the exact same shit but in pill form. staying up for days at a time. it sucks because it is truly an absolute cure for depression, but it also destroys your body and soul with brutal efficiency. my plan is to just stick to weed and psychedelics, as I love those too and they help a lot, but without turning me into a tweaker zombie. I wish I could do amphetamines like a regular person though because its the only thing that fills the void and makes me value myself, even if its fake. if I ever crack the code without the drugs Ill let you know.

What are the biggest "asterisks" in football history? What moments, achievements, or happenings are questionable in terms of their validity?

For the 2020's I'm considering pretty much all of the Chiefs' rings due to a really bizarre spike in officiating bias in the fourth quarter and what is often referred to as "high impact" moments. The Chiefs have a really bizarre win possibility trend where they overcome present odds to lurch back to Vegas odds very frequently.
Another one is Josh Allen's 2024 MVP. Most viewers seem to consider the MVP to be undeserving or illegitimate, while the media aggressively pushes Allen and his award.

Other examples in history could be the Tuck Rule game or "Was it a catch?"

Allen was a deserving MVP. Here are MVPs that I would change. Note that no non-QB can ever be more valuable than a top-tier QB like Peyton putting up absurd numbers.
>2021
Brady over Rodgers
Almost identical advanced efficiency metrics, with Brady doing it on much higher volume
>2012
Peyton or Brady. Near identical efficiency, Brady on slightly higher volume. Denver 13-3, Patriots 12-4. Either one winning would have been the correct option. I think this is a great co-MVP year.
>2011
Probably Brees over Rodgers. Both with historic efficiency, Rodgers slightly, slightly higher, but Brees much higher total volume. I value Brees' volume over Rodgers' 15-1 vs 13-3 edge. But It's not a robbery one way or the other. Co-MVPs perhaps? Yeah, I think this should have been co-MVPs.
>2009
Brees over Peyton.
>2006
Peyton over LT (QB > RB)
>2005
Peyton over Shaun Alexander (QB > RB)
In this objectively correct scenario the updated MVP count would be.
Peyton - 7
Brady - 5
Rodgers - 3
Brees - 2

The single season sack is bullshit since there are no stats prior to a certain year. Also, Reggie White should be the holder. 21 sacks in 12 fucking games. It took Strahan 16 games to get 22.5 and Watt 15 games. If White played those addition 4-5 games, he would have the record, and it's untouchable at that point.

Cunningham had more passing TDs, more total yards, almost 800 more rushing yards, and threw 50 fewer passes than Montana. Let's not forget that Montana had a far superior team on offense with Rice, Taylor, Jones, Rathman, and Craig. Who the fuck did Cunningham have? He was clearly the most VALUABLE player. You replace Montana and the 49ers still are fine. You replace Cunningham and the Eagles are absolutely fucked. Again, even Warren Moon had a better pure passing season than Montana.

Cunningham was the entire Eagles offense. Without him, they wouldn't have moved the ball at all. One is clearly more VALUABLE than the other. Funny you keep ignoring Warren Moon. yep, it shows how much of a loser i am. although it was even worse on july 4 weekend, 3 days of beautoful weather on a holiday most people spend outdoors with friends/family and i pretty much sat inside the entire time. i hate being alive. this is why i dont care about how my football team does anyway. win or lose, doesnt matter, im still a loser.

I'm just saying that if your excuse for a guy constantly coming up short is that he needed more help, you kinda have to acknowledge that he eventually got more help and it didn't really change the outcome. When he had a WR duo just as good as Montana's (Moss is NOT better than Rice and never was but I think Carter's a little better than Taylor so it evens out) he won one whole playoff game instead of zero.

Montana got better results and more praise because he *was* better. Deal with it

The only time Cunningham had weapons that rivaled what Montana had is in Minnesota, and they would have won the Owl if not for a missed FG. You can't blame him for that at all.
>if your excuse for a guy constantly coming up short is that he needed more help
This is interesting, given I'd argue someone like Brees had almost an entire career where if the Saints had defensive help, he'd have won more Owls. Unlike Brady that constantly had a Top 10 defense for almost his entire career, Brees had the opposite. I still discredit John Elway because he couldn't win shit until he got a god-tier running game (with blocking that was later banned) and a top-8 defense.

We don't know how Montana would have done in 5 Superbowls in his 20s since he was too busy choking in divisional rounds where he went 3 seasons in a row of 0 TDs and 1 or more INTs in the wildcard round lol. Mahomes was going for a 3peat while he was going for a 3choke.
Mahomes is only 29 and already has more playoff wins and pass TDs than Montana.

Moss ran maybe 4 routes max, and he constantly took plays off. Even with that, he put up monster numbers and nobody could cover him. Rice has admitted to using stickum, which was illegal. Weird how cheating taints other players careers, but nobody cares that Rice cheated. Then there's the fact that outside of Brady, Moss had some of the worst QBs & literal whos throwing to him. Here's a short list:
>Marques Tuiasosopo
>Rusty Smith
>Spergon Wynn
>Andrew Walter
>Aaron Brooks
>Todd Bouman
Moss made Culpepper look like a top-5 QB who just so happened to suck ass once Moss was gone. Let's not fucking lie here, if Moss had Brady for the same number of years that Rice had Montana & Young, he'd have blown the fucking doors off the receiving yards & TD records.

Brady joined a stacked team that a >black backup QB led the league in yards (5,200+ yards). Winston's turnovers made the defense look much worse than it was.

Brady went from averaging 20 TDs in the last 2 seasons with the Patriots to averaging 40 TDs on the Bucs. The bucs are so stacked even Baker is leading the lead in TDs (last 2 combined). And they're not half as good as they were when Brady was on there.

>if Moss had Brady

He had Brady in the super bowl and put up 65 whole yards. I'm so tired about hearing about how Moss was this unstoppable monster who got let down by his qbs when he played with the best qb you could ask for and was very stoppable when it mattered. If Moss was actually what you faggots think he is Brady has at least one more ring and a 19-0 season.

You don't get to play 50 super bowls until the stats normalize. You get a couple chances, maybe only one. Which is why you have to make it count. That's what being clutch is. Rice was clutch as fuck in big games, Moss played okay.

That 1998 NFC championship game loss, where he had a legit 1A receiver on the other side to take the pressure off he had basically the same statline as he did in the super bowl: 6 catches, 75 yards, 1 TD. That's not terrible but it sure as fuck isn't GOAT shit. In the 2 biggest games of his career Moss was playing with good teammates on good teams and played like a regular dude having an above-average night.

Jerry Rice lit motherfuckers up in those same circumstances.
>133 yards and 2 touchdowns against the Bears in the '88 NFC Championship
>215 yards on 11 catches in super bowl XXIII
>148 yards and 3 TDs in super bowl XXIV
>149 yards and 3 touchdowns in super bowl XXIX
>a 183 yard game in the AFC wild card with the Raiders. No Montana, no Young. He was 39 years old. At 39 Randy Moss had been retired for four years

Jerry Rice is untouchable. He had everything. Peak performance, work ethic, inhuman longevity, consistency. Randy Moss would torch DB's if he had a mismatch but never came up big in the games that would have changed his legacy, and that's on him. Doesn't mean he sucks don't don't tell me he's better than the guy who statmogs and ringmogs him in every way and who came up clutch in situations where Moss didn't. If Moss was better than Rice he'd be better and he's not. Fewer catches, fewer yards, fewer TDs, infinitely fewer rings because has ZERO.....there's not a single thing he was demonstrably better than Rice at. The only argument his shills have is hypotheticals, aka shit that didn't actually happen. Shut. The fuck. Up.

Moss could have played more seasons with Brady but the Pats didn't want him. When New England let him go he was only 33. And why didn't they want him? Because *he* asked for a trade after New England wasn't coughing up the contract he thought he was entitled to. And then the team got traded to cut his ass later that season because he was being a crybaby in the press and not terribly producitve.

At age 33 Rice had 1848 yards and 15 touchdowns. He would go on to play 9 more years s a starter. At age 33 Moss had 393 yards and 5 touchdowns, was traded and then waived and played one more season as a backup.

Moss only got 2 years with Brady because he didn't sustain his productivity and the coaches fucking hated him because he loafed through plays, didn't block and was basically an entitled asshole. Brady didn't even throw that much of a fit when he left and that's about as scathing an indictment as there is because that dude even stood up for Coom. If Brady's willing to accept a WR needs to go it's because the dude needs to go. And every team that dealt with Moss after that felt the same. Him getting so few seasons with Brady isn't an excuse because it was his own fucking fault.

Like I said, all Mossfags have is hypotheticals.

Moving Thuney from guard fucked up their run game which forced them to throw, which made them predictable.
Their decision to move an elite guard to LT (where he's below average) will be studied in film rooms for the next 5 decades.

I'm a real ball knower, let me educate you. Brady wasn't shit until he got Moss and wasn't shit after. He had 0 MVPs or First-Team All-Pros.
>reminder Brady won an MVP directly after Moss left new england
That's what is known as a phantom season. Mahomes with Tyreek and Brady with Moss were godlike, so it completely changed the way teams covered them. In 2022 (the season after Tyreek left) teams were still terrified of the deep threat, so Mahomes sliced them to pieces short/middle range throws.
The following season in 2023, teams finally realized the Chiefs receiving corps isn't shit without Tyreek and gave zero respect to the deep shot with their cover 2 spam. And it worked.

I haven't looked at tape but I would imagine that's what happened when Moss left Brady. It's called a phantom season since the defensive coordinator is worried about ghost that no longer exists.

By what metric?
-He didn't have the best stats, Lamar was significantly better.
-He wasn't close to having the 1 seed.
-He didn't win the head-to-head against Lamar, he lost 35-10.

The case for Lamar winning it in 2023 is that
-He beat Purdy and CMC in the head-to-head both of whom were MVP finalist
-He earned the 1 seed
-He didn't have the best stats but was close enough to Purdy.

Brady's season high for touchdowns is the same as Mahomes

Brady's season high for yards is better than Mahomes

Brady has the record for most completions in a season.

Brady has the record for most passing yards in a super Bowl

Brady has the record for most passing touchdowns in a career

Brady has the record for most passing yards in a career

Brady has the record for most completions in a career

Brady has the record for most wins in a career

Brady has the record for most playoff wins in a career

And oh yeah, Brady has the record for most super bowl wins in a career.

Brady is not the rings guy. He's the "all the rings and all the stats guy." He's Bill Russel and Wilt Chamberlain at the same time. And part of the reason he has seven rings (more than any FRANCHISE, in case you forgot) is because he stole 2 from Mahomes. And Mahomes will never be able to live that down. because he ain't getting seven and if he has less rings and is 0-2 forever well that makes him Tom's eternal bitch, doesn't it?

It's already over. It was over before it even began. Cope, seethe and dilate but stop with the delusions already. The argument was settled after Brady dad dicked him in the super bowl
