Anonymous Ireland No.150749739
>After the Angliru stage, it is the most important mountain stage. It has many meters of altitude and the second most difficult finish mountain. The lower part is not particularly difficult, but the 3.1 km at the end is so violent that you can lose a lot of time alone here.

>We have also seen this on the first two visits. On their debut in 2010, Ezequiel Mosquera and Vincenzo Nibali reached the finish line together, but after that the gaps were great. Joaquim Rodriguez threw away 23 seconds as no. 3, and only the top-6 was within 50 seconds. It was even more dramatic in 2012. Here, Denis Menchov won from a breakaway, but behind him, the leader Alberto Contador lost a lot of time. He thus threw away a full 44 seconds to Joaquim Rodriguez, whom he had couped a few days earlier – and what is Vingegaard's lead over Almeida? 44 seconds! In other words: The Vuelta victory is at stake!

For every single one of them there are probably a hundred weed addicts that didn't get psychosis and didn't end up in any mental ward. Don't wanna downplay the risk, but according to what I know it's overall not that likely and it's strongly correlated with being predisposed to psychosis due to other factors (genetic, trauma, environment) and also frequency of use (don't smoke daily, duh).

Well the GC "battle" of la Vuelta has come to an end, but that doesn't mean the end of /WORLD TOUR WINE/ (bier) !! The fall classics season is heating up, and we have a Canadian beer to celebrate the GP Cycliste de Quebec!

Today's beer has a fun memory for me. Many years ago, I was a first-year graduate student and took a weekend road trip with my roommates to Quebec. We stayed at a hostel in Quebec City which actually had this beer on tap in the common room. When I had my first glass after a long drive in my POS VW Golf, I thought the tap hadn't been cleaned properly and was full of soap. I had never tasted a beer of any style other than "Cheap American Macro Lager".

Unibroue Blanche de Chambly ($3)

Pours a pretty orange-honey with fine mousse. The nose has coriander and orange, and palate follows with some hop zest. Carbonation is strong and pleasant. This is just good, no flaws, easy to drink, pleasant, a bit of interest. I think my Belgian chien in the background sums up my response.

>"some teams are annoying me"

The scenes inside of redbull and visma must have been hilarious. Jorgenson, a nobody shitter, is under his skin. Poogacar is a very unlikeable person unless you're a reddit mong or a brain dead med. It's quite subtle but very obvious. His sulking at this year's tour will go down in the ages. I think that's why the french are starting to dislike him. They're quite attuned and sensitive to his behaviour. To be disinterested, sulky, and generally dismissive of this tour is a major disrespect. Hopefully he retires next few years or gets an injury so we can have a break from him at least.

That was never for pidcock to ride and joao getting annoyed and sulking was hilarious. Pidcock was on the verge of death and then joao sits up to berate him, losing more time. UgAyE are in shambles recently. Nothing without poogacar gliding to easy wins. Team seems generally retarded.

Even quebec they threw the race. Having a rider in every split means no one will ever work, but sivakov is never winning from a 3 man group so they threw the race and shut it down in the process. The message is clear; NEVER work with UAE and always attack them to make distance. Or you'll get caught up in a vortex of slurp.

Lotto Dane Jonas Gregaard is excited about how the race will unfold on the 21st stage, where there are rumors of large demonstrations.

- I don't really know how it's going to happen that we'll finish today, but I hope that we'll finish and there'll be a winner. Because if you read it here and there, it would be absolutely crazy what's going to happen in there. Whether it's also football fans who come... what we haven't read and so on. But I hope that we can somehow run a bike race. Whether it's going to be a way they modify it - we haven't heard anything yet - but I hope that there will be a winner, Gregaard tells TV 2 Sport.

Mads P.'s team is prepared for an absurd scenario

There have been rumors of possible demonstrations before the riders reach the circuit in Madrid – where the barrier should be good enough. Thus, the Lidl-Trek team has also prepared for a possible interruption.

- Getting to the circuit could be difficult, I think. It's too difficult for the police to control. So we need to have one or two soigneur cars behind the riders, so if the protesters stop us, we might be able to drive. I don't know if it's up for grabs right now, but I think we'll ride the circuit in Madrid no matter what, says Grégory Rast, sports director of the team, to TV 2 Sport.

So an idea could be to put the riders in cars before Madrid and then transport them to the circuit, where they can ride the final?

- The Vuelta has not said anything about it, but we ourselves think that it could be a solution, says Rast.

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez expresses great admiration for the pro-Palestinian protesters who have repeatedly disrupted the cycling race – most recently on the 20th stage.

- Today the Vuelta ends. I would like to express our greatest recognition and absolute respect for the riders, but also our admiration for the Spanish people who stand up for the Palestinians, he says, among other things.

- Spain shines today as a role model and a source of pride. An example for the international community, which sees Spain taking a step forward in the defense of human rights.

You may think it's just me seething due to not having the same political views (I don't even support the Spanish right), but it's not. While all politics do the same, this has reached a new level. The Spanish society is more divided than ever and that's what useful to him.
