He is still very far behind, but unless the stupid crash Vingegaard just had weakens him, and unless Pogacar is only weakened due to an illness he is recovering from, I would almost be surprised if Vingegaard can't put the Slovenian on Thursday and Friday. Whether he can gain enough time is hard to say, but he has said that he is ready to attack early, and although Yates is riding honorably, UAE doesn't look like a team that can save the captain much from a crisis.
