The reason Natlan doesn't have a second weekly boss is because the story involving fighting the second weekly boss will also involve Mavuika losing (or willingly giving away) her Gnosis to Fatui. But Fatui can only have all the Gnoses when we reach Snezhnaya. Since we are taking a year long detour to Nod-Krai, Mavuika can't lose her Gnosis yet, which is why we got the chess fight as a weekly. Once Nod-Krai plot concludes, the next weekly boss story will involve Mavuika losing her Gnosis and that being the reason we finally head to Snehznaya proper.

For some reason I thought I remembered Dottore being involved with it, but I guess not.
It's interesting that out of the remaining Harbingers, Pulcinella and Pantalone are the only ones no leak that I've seen mentioned being involved in Nod-Krai.
