Actually posing as a musician, holding concerts and selling albums, the whole shebang, but also writing songs specifically to counter whatever narratives corporate is trying to push, as well as using low level applications of Radiant aura and Psychic influence to make my songs and albums truly memetic and unnaturally popular. If the corpros donโ€™t like my meddling, and send assassins and the like after me? Sacrifice is generally the best specialty because it's the strongest school in the exact situations that make you more powerful in the long run.Bioshifting then makes you a blood monster, so you never run out of fuel in your many desperate last stands.

My shadow-angel and I are the perfect duo: I, the Physical guardian equipped with Blade and Shield, able to summon shields and heal with my Spirit and, with my angel technically being an extension of myself, always aware of threats to her though my Danger Sense; Her, an angelic caster capable of wielding both dark Shadow and Radiant light, able to keep up the pressure with my Large Reserves. I devote myself as fervently to the servants of Light as I do to my own angel; even those of mortal origin, dutifully doing whatever tasks are set to me by Remial or Apollyon. I stand side by side with my fellow knight Marie, and revel in the blinding light alongside Junko. As a team, my angel and I are perfect for missions that require both defense and offense in equal measure: My angel can shine a light in the sewers while spreading shadow that can hinder the Abyss Spawn; I can protect the reps while my angel performs Death-Squad Cleanup; No Hunting Horrors can sneak up us both when we watch each othersโ€™ back; My angel contains within her both light and dark, the same as our Maddened Sister, providing us an edge like none other; I donโ€™t have to take the hub alone as the two of us commit some Leyline Sabotage.

Deceiver: Manipulator
Fae-Insectoid Hybrids
They are all shorter than most humans, but they can fly and do magic. They do have natural "Armor" and "weapons" which make them a bit more durable and deadlier, but it's no metal.

Nests
Brood
Corruptor
Adapatiblity

Lustful Minions
Monstrous Menagerie

Peons, Fodders, and Swamers: "Worker" bug people, with two sets of normalish arms and hands.
Burrowers, Watchers, and Pursuers: "Warrior" Bug people with specialized weapons on one set of their arms. A bit bigger than the first group.

Stalkers and Spies: Specialized bug people wit natural "Camo"
Sappers, Artisans, and Alchemists: "upgraded" bug people from the Peons/Fodder/Swamers
Standard-Bearers, Cultists, and Concubines: Usually moth-like bug people.
Centurions: Taller armor bug people

Slayer: Elite "Warrior" Bug girl
Unholy Cleric: Cute Moth girl
Mesmer: Cute Moth girl
Spawner: Cute Queen
Strategos: Elite Tall Armor girl

The City of Gloriend
All the missions. Having a base under the city sounds useful; I wouldn't need to worry about getting my main force into the city and disturbing the locals. Plus, they'll be too busy being at each other's throats.to worry about me and my bugs.

Really I'm not sure what niche Bureaucracy has, in terms of its direct effect. What byzantine hierarchies are you likely to deal with other than your own, and what marginal utility is there in making your loyal minions particularly good at setting one up?

Memetic Agent? (Not sure how my bubble would translate into a purely mental space; if it is able to transfer fully and the mental space is considered a Domain of a sort I could potentially instagib the spirit immediately)
Quantum God

More of a gimmick/mechanical build than a flavourful one; Iโ€™d get along great with Junko, as I can negate physical barriers while she negates magical ones; Enforcer is a great job since my bubble doesnโ€™t stand out at all in the mundane world (the world is already mundane, nothing to cancel/revert) but means that on the job I can essentially be the stereotypical painfully mundane civilian that turns all the horrible things mundane because of โ€œignoranceโ€; Effectively a durability focused build since with my Continuous Art I only have to deal with direct attacks, or indirect physical ones that could potentially bypass my bubble

Minions are 100% loyal to you and want to follow your orders, but keeping track of your number and type of minions, where they are, what they're doing, and getting your orders to them in a quick and legible fashion is difficult. Making they're fed, supplied, and treated for injuries or illnesses on top of that is an immense struggle.

Officers can coordinate this on their own without much trouble, but if it's well-managed, a complex bureaucracy simplifies this by dividing tasks. Instead of an officer that has a few quartermasters, a few surgeons, and a few sergeants under him, the officer has a master of weapons, master of armor, master of sorcery, serious injury surgeon, minor injury surgeon, and eight different ranks of sergeant depending on what their specific troop type and role in battle is. This complicates everything and is cumbersome but if everyone has a grip of the system, it can accelerate things. If a soldier breaks his sword, now instead of complaining to a quartermaster who then has to get permission from the commander to issue another one, that then has to be sourced from the nearest armory, the soldier fills in a blade document and gives it to the master of weapons, who already anticipated this.

Bureaucracy is, at its core, just an intricate system of permissions, clearances, and ledgers keeping track of something. It makes logistics more efficient by keeping a consistent record of where everyone is, what happened where, and for what reasons. There's no confusion about what needs to be done or how, just a streamlined protocol. Normally, there's no system outside of what you make, but Bureaucracy not only overlays this into every aspect of your forces, it installs the software for how to navigate it with almost no corruption or incompetence into your minions' heads. That is a Chinaman's wet dream.

Aside from that, it's useful for oppressing non-minions but arguably even more evil than banking with Greed. That of course assumes that everything happens exactly according to how the bureaucracy is supposed to work, which is so rare among humans it's almost unheard of. The Bureaucracy trait gives you a mastery of organizing yourselves outside of battle, which is invaluable. I can't imagine beastmen or goblins trying to file out paperwork without setting something on fire, but now that I think about it, smarter insectoids would likely be extremely good at it, even without the trait.

Aside from that, it's useful for oppressing non-minions but arguably even more evil than banking with Greed. I wouldn't take Bureaucracy if I wasn't doing a Fae or Demon build. From a personal viewpoint, any benefits it gives couldn't possibly be worth forcing that many mountains of paperwork onto millions.

So is there any option with an objective lower value than Fusion? It lets you build something, that takes two minions, and produces a single minion that has a chance to have total power equal to the average of the initial minions. Sure that minion has halved weaknesses, but is that so useful when outside of specific races minions don't have notable weaknesses? You're paying for two units and getting a a single more average unit. It just seems objectively worse than Adaptability, despite costing twice the trait points while also being inefficient, and seems mainly like it exists to combo with Adaptability. I know there are some potential gains there after a lot of research to create more specialized units rather than more average ones, but the cost of two units for a result that doesn't seem like it will ever equal the input is really rough.

Reminder;
>Baraqu choses to spoil the female player, and even moreso the exotic female player, but his intentions for the player aren't really realized in year one. I'd stress, the player, in that case, it quite literally what every woman in that harem was at one point. Baraqu likes exotic women, enjoys special women, encourages unique practices in his women . . . but you also have a pretty good preview of how that's turned out, repeatedly. His wives don't like each other, scheme against one another, and I don't think some people here understand just how bad a harem full of women that hate each other, and have power (albeit far less than Baraqu), can be.

I reward my loyal mortal followers and leaders that further the cause with power, immortality, and riches. Any merchants and lords that do not ally with me before an invasion or come to their senses and honorably surrender will be killed and their treasures looted, the commoners will be organized under new leadership and will be granted the opportunity of rising above their status if they can prove their usefulness. Orphans will be placed into brutal training academies, indoctrinated as elite unquestioning auxiliary commanders, high profile guards, administrators, spies, or assassins. Criminals will not be tolerated in my lands, they will either be executed or conscripted.

I am dedicated to completing my mission in timely manner, it gives me purpose and adventure. I always lead from the front, stirring my minions and followers to reach greater heights with my constant heroics. The plan is simple. Just really fucking slowly build a society. Starting in the arctic fucking sucks, especially with what I'm working with, but whatever. Automatons without minds for all menial labor as no society has ever been built so far without some form of lowest labor rung. The *eventual* goal is to spread a sexual based society across the lands, with amazingly superior technology, and be so much better and stronger and with a silver tongue that I simply have everyone become allies, then vassals, then eventually absorb them into my empire proper. Given literally thousands of years, a Magus's should be able to make portal magic. Heaters, air conditioners, basic lighting/wiring/and power creation, all shouldn't be that hard for artisans over the decades. The longer I go undetected, the better. that is a good combo, but I still think there is one more magic missing to make it truly noteworthy, the way I see it is:
>path 1: attempt to mind control someone while in the safety of a shield, but the victim could still run away if things go too bad for them

>path 2: you trap your victim in a shield to mind control them, but they still have access to their magic, which could make this very dangerous depending on who you target

the combo of soul+mind damage for variety does sound good, but I still think binding has superior synergy with psychic as they both work on eroding the target's will and also suppresses their powers which makes your job much easier

Well if you start with tough one-on-one fight it's like that, but assuming thralls can be kept long term, you'll have them to help, and spirit has good synergy for team work. Like, if you got a thrall who's good at melee, they'll keep enemy in place while you heal them and attack enemy's mind / soul.

Awesome! Updating my build:
>Male, Subdued, Gauntlets/Greaves
Gauntlets combos better with my fighting style, even if it's harder use them without outing myself. I can try to pass them off as a magic item I made, and I'll try to make them as close to normal gloves in appearance as possible.
>Physicality(Specialty), Time(Adept), Celerity(Specialty), Curses(Master)
I probably won't actually need Illusion at all, so Curses is a better pick to give me a way to deal with ranged fighters, and make better use of Magic Bloodhound to see the workings of my opponents spells. Aside from that, I have immensely powerful physical capabilities, accelerated even further by Time.
>Magic Bloodhound, Gifted, Shrouded Magic
These are necessary to my plan to lay low, and improve my utility. I'll use runic ritual magic to prepare tattoos on my body that improve my physical abilities even further.
>Continuous(Celerity)
It's not the most powerful option, but designing a custom ability is too cool. My ultimate art extends part of Celerity's effects to my magical perception and casting speed, allowing me to take the initiative more easily and improving my already impressive perception. Hopefully this will combine well with Gifted, allowing copying of spells I see often enough from other sorcerers.
>None
I want to avoid any interaction with Patrons, as I am going to kill all of them.
>Corporate
This fighting is pointless, so I must end it. Of course, this definitely means the only way is to kill everyone, and that requires power. Nyxon is probably a better option than Pentos because it's not going to force me into any pacts, even with the risk of mind-altering magic. I don't have Psychic, but Curses can be just as helpful for the company's goals.
>Marie, Yue, Camรฉllia
Greater understanding of magical society, greater magical efficiency, and a tool against Pentos.
>Quantum God
I want to study how it was made, and it should improve my reputation in Nyxon.

Depends on time and place, north has more mana than south, and it ebbs and flows unevenly across the world. An academy full of elite mages casting all day wouldn't experience any noticeably lower mana levels (random changes would affect that more), but if you did something like array demilich skulls in large tight 3d formation and made them cast and take in mana non-stop, it could indeed cause local levels to temporarily dry out, I guess.

I wouldn't be killing everyone if I had more trait points, having people surrender and get mind controlled, with that order of operations being variable, would be so much easier. But I would get rid of Phylactery and Mutants before No Mercy. Though I been bouncing back and forth between Mutants and Elitism. That said I don't think Phylactery is so terrible a detriment, but I hate it thematically, and it's likely the first to go next time I try shuffling things to get a build I like.

Male
Armored
Gauntlets
Specialty - Physicality
Specialty - Celerity
Force - Master
Spirit - Master
Binding - Novice

Quirks:
Overcharged
Nocturnal
Subsidized

Ultimate Art - Second Form

Grow a little older, muscles buff up a bit, and eyes blaze/glow. Super increased Physicality and Celerity.

Pacts - None
Day Job - Student/None

Contacts:

Apollyon (This may kill me)
Agnes
Sylka

Missions:

Product recall (Force magic + Binding)
Abyss Spawn
Death Squad Cleanup
Oil Rig Ritual
Hunting Horrors
Dark Cult
Memetic agent (How the hell am I supposed to beat this? Maybe I'll do this one last)
Maddened Sister
Assassination Plot
Leyline Sabotage
Corrupted Spill
Quantum God

You know, I was really happy with my build, right up until i saw Apollyon. Because she's perfect. 2 of the same schools and a similiar weapon type as me, thee strongest Luminary, and apparently within reach enough to give something close to some kind of teaching. Awesome.

However if she finds out I have Celecrity she's going to kill me. A power she's probably faced something similiar enough before in her decades long warring. And she also probably (or at least I must assume) has the pact that allows you to know if someone is lying. She's too good an option *not* to take as a teacher and too terrifying of an option to be comfortable with taking. I either have to hide that power for years on years until I believe she can't kill me or convince her I somehow unlocked Speed and reflexes with Physicality, something she has Specialized in.

I'm gonna have to take every single damn mission and combat potential there is, just in the hopes I can outgrow the suspicion. I'm gonna have to eat, breathe, and shit fighting. Thank God I don't have to eat, drink, or sleep.

>reverse the liquefaction of the amber coast, making it stop turning into a fetid swamp
It's caused by weather pattern shift (so it's not directly unnatural, even if the shift happened in response to the fuckup in north), so I guess things that'd work IRL to counter extreme swamp conditions could work there too.

Hush you, our power is unshackled, we can surpass her. It'll just take time. Not to mention when we're able to not immediately die from the strongest forces, we can start recruiting others and unshackling then into plan:

"Destroy the 3 companies, murder the dark spirits, and grow strong enough to tell the Light to fuck off and stop interfering with humans now that the war is over."

Plus, like, it's insanity not to take Physicality (or cerelity) and Spirit, other magical girls/boys are so squishy.

Hi, its me, "biblefag".

Sorry I never got around to getting a trip code, but pic related, i recently found out I have skin cancer. I will get a second option this monday, but the prognosis is far from ideal.

Given the circumstances, the work on my OC is under permanent hiatus, and my posts, including "bible quote of the day", will become infrequent.

I will update you on my health, infrequently, for those that care. If I'm scheduled to die, or about to undergo an operation that has a real mortality chance, I'll post my WIPs here, maybe someone will finish what I can't. For now, I hope for the best.

And to the haters: I consider this to be great irony, the only non-smoker in my entire family getting cancer and all. But you, you believe to worship an entity that caused this. You dislike my 4chan posts, you've made that clear, but can you honestly say this is justified? Can you honestly say that this is a fitting punishment? Remember that the next time you sing praise to the malevolent tyrant, and consider adding this to your list of wonderful moral lessons, that mere criticism in the form of satire is deserving of a slow and painful death, AND torture afterwards.

This isn't a goodbye, not yet, I will try my best.

If you want to help, donate to doctors without borders, I probably have enough money myself, but thanks for trying!

And if we can drain a land of mana, is it possible to enrich it to levels of mana beyond what would normally be possible naturally long-term? What would the consequences of that be, if any? And yes, if even the highest drainage of mana from an area only causes a temporary shut-down, is mana more or less a non-finite resource, in that it can be harvested over and over again, without it ever really running out permanently? Where's the world's mana supply coming from?

You can work through hard caps eventually with Limitless, though drawbacks are tied to your power source so undoing them is especially difficult. Assume that they're all in full effect at least during your whole mission.

I suppose if you could mimic a basic unit earlier than that by inventing a new low end medium unit with similar capabilities, though it'd be rather inefficient (Below Average essence cost at minimum).

Cost isn't necessarily a big deal, I'm mainly after function. While Swarmers and Kamikaze may be better in larger numbers, and thus cheaper. I could certainly see spending more on higher tier versions so they are faster or in the case of Kamikaze, also having a bigger 'boom'. As far as the others, expensive Peons that would function as assistants for Alchemists and Artisans is something I might try to make anyway. Then higher tier Watcher is fine, potentially preferable. I imagine that they might end up less efficient as far as essence to the resulting effectiveness, and take a while. I'm going to be spending a long time just accruing wealth and building up my dungeon in secret. Not having them early might slow my ability to take over the nearby ocean, as I do that, but that's fine.

update of my punching build

>FORM: fem
>OUTFIT: majestic + witch-like
>IMPLEMENT: gauntlets
explosive boost for short range spells + overcharging to quite literally punch up my weight

>MAGIC: spirit (special), physicality (master), celerity (master), psychic (special)
focus on combat and hitting as hard as possible
physical+celerity to bring my close combat abilities to the top
psychic for utility, non-physical attacks and because few would expect the muscle head to have this type of magic
spirit for healing, extra defense and soul effects

>QUIRKS: complex outfit, large reserves, talented
talented is a no brainer for physical builds
large reserves is always good but is extra useful with overcharge
complex outfit for that last AP to master magic and the extra learning speed is cool

>ULTIMATE: second form
pic realted, gives a massive boost to my magic infused punches (+the overall boost to magic)

>PACTS: urist, old mother
urist gives good memory for cheap
bone mommy gives even more devastating attacks and magic copying for something I was already going to do in this line of work

>JOB: official
sounds like good pay (+bribes) for little work, at most it might get dangerous if I mess with the wrong corporation

>CONTACTS: apollyon, marie, agnes
one contact in most organizations also:
apo: shares physical and spirit magic making her a good tutor
marie: pretty chill with mind controlling people, plus the way her bindings affect minds could help me develop my psychic magic faster
agnes: she sounds like the most likely to be chill with me having dark magic, plus I love emotionally vulnerable and abusive women

>MISSIONS: all?
at least I want to keep my options open and get as many opportunities to grow

The plan remains the same, punch the enemy hard, if that fails punch their mind, if that fails punch their soul, if that fails overcharge and start again.
enemies with useful magic either become my thralls of get turned into trophies.

I have a concept for a CYOA.

>You play as a young born Demon that won the soul-birth jackpot and got an Oversoul.
>Oversoul basically means your soul gives powerboosts to other Demons the longer they cling to you.
>Your soul gets to parasite the inherent techniques of other demons souls in-exchange for powerboosting.
>You get a harem of young born Demons that want to powerboost off your soul and take you on an adventure through the Hells to get stronger together.
>As all Demons come from the fragmented soul of the Original (Demon), you are all technically actual brother-sister/fragments of the same person.
>Major Demons want to cripple you before you become too strong/powerboost other Demons or just eat your Oversoul for the one time xp boost/because they can.

There's kind of a "lone destroyer" build that could be made, I think. If one was trying to optimize it, it could be something like:

Form: Titan, BUT
Specialization: Nemesis,
for a combination of incredible strength and durability, and the potential for striking back more strongly at anyone that harms you, as well as permanent boosts from killing them afterward. (I presume that you cannot 'farm' this by standing still to give a weak foe the opportunity to hurt you as best they can)

Race: Dragon or Dragonkin seems like perhaps the best choice when looking purely at personal power; Demon or Vampire would also have potential in that regard, but come with substantial downsides which I assume would impact you as well.

Traits:
>Horde Mode, for additional "major buff" to strength, durability, and endurance (1)
>Brood, why not - doesn't provide much help, but this build can get a lot of effectively-free trait points. (3)
>Dark Gods, for the possibility of additional personal power and divine gifts, (4)
>Interdisciplinary allows the mismatched form/specialization, and seems to have other minor benefits going forward (5)
>Death Powered is critical, as all or most essence will come from slaying foes! (6)
>One-Man Army likewise critical, further boosting power into utter absurdity when one charges an army. (7)
>And what the hell, let's toss in Usurper as well, normally it's too expensive to be worth considering, but this build has a lot of points as well as Dark Gods (13!)

Now to pay for it all... (next)
Anonymous No.96134937 >>96135243
>>96134934

Drawbacks:
>Attack, Attack is completely on-theme for the build, I'm not even trying to retain territory, just rampaging! (2)
>Expiration Date, not relying on minions anyway (4)
>Racism, just stick with dragon(kin). (5)
>Monstrous Menagerie, since they're all obvious anyway (6)
>Contentious doesn't matter too much, they're dying soon anyway (7)
>Mutants, likewise (8)
>Built to Destroy similarly fits, if I'm just rampaging (9)
>And what the heck, Zealotry goes with Dark Gods. (10)

Units really don't matter very much, the whole point is to fight without them to get the maximum benefit from One-Man Army. Maybe a few extremely strong ones, like spawning a Behemoth every time I accumulate enough power to do so, and just telling them to go off on their own.

Of course, the flaw here in the idea is that even if this could get a lot of dark essence from Death Powered...there's not really too much value to that essence if one is mostly eschewing minions.

I will say, I don't agree with all the criticisms about what was and wasn't updated here, but even despite the comment in Rabble that "no enemy in this world is truly unassailable by a sustained onslaught," the mention at the end of "holy dragons [plural!] that could match your Behemoths ten to one" is a bit of an browraiser. It's very hard to imagine a reasonable scenario in which any number whatsoever of non-hyperpower units could defeat even one monster that can by itself handle ten godzillas. Let alone, god, MULTIPLE such monsters; there's just an issue of scale there that's difficult to swallow. Might be a little more reasonable if it just said the holy dragons were capable of defeating even your Behemoths, without getting the ten-to-one comparison in there.

Although it does make me wonder how the player's own combat capability (at the start and over time) is supposed to compare to that of a Behemoth.

Well, it is "word of god" as it were that it's the case, which would be a reason to take it seriously. But there is certainly a point where it does become very hard to take seriously, because of course "attack power" doesn't really scale linearly with number; a million light taps do not add up to a death blow.

>'the goddesses have to be indirect and careful when meddling with the world'

I've got a theory. All of the text implies that the goddesses were previously incarnated, constantly involved in the world, and jealously petty about it aside from the goddess of Wisdom's (RIP) meddling. What are petty interventionist deities always doing? That's right, fucking. The reason the ultra-elites are so insanely powerful is that they're functionally immortal demigods from before the cataclysm, or their direct descendants whose blood hasn't been diluted yet. That would not only explain why they're few in number, difficult to replace, and all in positions of authority, but why the Mysterious Being wasn't upfront about their nature. If we knew we were fighting semi-divine entities, we might have hesitated to take the deal, so he only gave us the bare minimum on details. This also means that the Goddesses were dragon-fucking degenerates and need to be slain even outside of the deal.

Anon, you silly fool. Cold is merely the absence of heat, the slowing of molecules while heat is them speeding up (more or less).

Space and time are two halves of a whole: Spacetime. They strongly affect each other. You literally couldn't have one without the other and space, affected by gravity, also causes affects in time. And vice versa presumably.

Girl that's what I said. Either way you're manipulating the speed of molecules.

I have heard the term spacetime though I don't really get it. Let us speak in practical terms? I want to cast 'blink' to pop into the nearest Little Caesar's. How is this related to time, when I am moving space?
Anonymous No.96136119 >>96138148
>>96136071
Because by definition you must also be moving time around the point you blinked. The time between A and B location has shifted. In a blink or even a teleport across a planet, the affect would *probably* be nothing. Ripping open a giant gash in space itself would probably affect things locally, making time halt, slow, or speed up around it (there's not usually "gashes" in space, so, best comparison we got is blackholes. Closer you are to blackhole/gravity well, the more space collapses. So you could experience one hour close to it but years are passing on earth), it's why they sometimes use the trope of "a single second was actually years" or vice versa with wormholes. It's the theory of relativity that Einstein found.

Anyway, yeah, on a small local affect their probably wouldn't be enough Movement of space/gravity to affect time in any real/noticeable way. But time magic should definitely be causing Spatial changes but it's all magc anyway so *shrug*.

True. Italics is also known for being the fastest author alive, Tok is the nicest girl around (a bit prude though) and BeTheGuyAnon is a near-deific figure of this thread.
But enough about bizarro /cyoag/...

Are we just going to ignore that Rake already did the heat/cold thing in at least 2 of his cyoas? The fallout/40k one and the Space Bodyguard one had a power called "Thermodynamics" that allowed you to do exactly what physicsfag was bitching about.
Im willing to bet >>96138221 is right that its just physicsfag samfagging as usual.
