>No
I own 40k models and Codex and that's it
>>96245950 (OP)I used to own a purity seal but it fell off my backpack and got lost.
>>96245950 (OP)Plenty of stuff. My favorite item is a 40k themed bag GW stores gave out as a promo for spending more than $400 at their store in 2018.
>>96245950 (OP)I have like 5 joytoys because my younger brother keeps getting them for me unprompted
I printed and did up a lifesized purity seal for my display cabinet
>>96245950 (OP)I know they are also technically models of a sort, but I have some of the joytoy figures and I enjoy them a lot.
I finished up some jump pack intercessors to procrastinate building the Lion. I haven't really done sub assemblies before, other than painting Azrael's helmet separately. Do you guys have any tips for tackling a larger project that is somewhat intimidating?
In b4 stop being a pussy
>>96246040lion is a model that both really kinda necessitates sub assemblies but is also a bitch to subassemble unfortunately
if you have poster tack try dry assembling him and get a feel for what bits you can assemble while keeping things easily accessible
I really donโt like it.
>>96246071he looks great with the helmet
>>96246044Damn, yeah thats a good idea. I will give it a try. By chance do you have any idea how easy/hard magnetizing the head would be? I like all four of the options, so it would be cool to be able to use them all
>>96246087The armor and the pose is what I have an issue with. Itโs tooโฆround?
>>96246091not very hard to magnetize, his head is huge
>>96246071It's mainly the pose.
It makes He'stan look very generic and kind of bland.
>>96245950 (OP)I've got the Bandai ultramarine, and a macfarlane sister, and chaos marine somewhere. Outside that I've got plenty of books, little keychains and macguffins from gw events at our lgs
You forgot the other previous thread
>>96239521>>96239521>>96239521
>>96246040>Do you guys have any tips for tackling a larger project that is somewhat intimidating?Stop being a pussy. In all seriousness I find it extremely handy to completely plan out a paintjob I'm worried about down to every single detail. Think about every step from your prime to ringing your base, and anything that doesn't work in your head, is probably not going to work irl.

>>96246154Fridgeking, me beloved.
I'm losing steam after some models. I might hang up the spatter of models for a bit.
>>96246169If you're the slopper then I agree but you should make it a permanent break. If you're anyone else then just take a couple weeks or a month to relax and come back to it
>>96246169nothing wrong with taking a break from painting
a hobby refresh can help sometimes too, grab some cheap models from something else as a palette cleanser
>>96246154Which is your favorite model that's been submitted fridgeking?
>>96245950 (OP)>TQBL Books
McFarlane Sisters, one of each colour
Most 40k computer games
Was 40k better when it's design language was fucking muppets?
>>96245950 (OP)>Do you own anything 40k related that's not models? No, thought about getting that Word Bearer terminator toy though
>>96246193I don't have a favorite son or daughter on the fridge they're all cute.
>>96246193Mine, obviously. Never mind the post above me he's just being coy.
125 points left for an ultramarines army. Currently have over 50 models on the board so not looking for more infantry. Iโm running Calgar without Guillliman.
Recommendations?
>>96246038I just wish the joy toys didn't have American style joints and instead had figma/japan styled joints. I'm too autistic to be able to cope with pic related but I wish I could
>>96246169I recommend you try sword fighting. Its a lot of fun, and having a physical hobby is a great way to offset painting.
Anyone ordered from black market miniatures recently? Their Kyrgyzstan payment is sketch as fuck.
>>96246230Really? I thought they were a meme. They do look fun to paint.
>>96246071I think he looks good for a salamander, just remove the flames on the base and replace the big chapter icon with an iron halo
>>96246221Have you considered deleting the list and instead taking 2000pts of dreadnoughts
>>96246240I do have a redemptor and a venerable. Unfortunately it looks like the old man is close to retiring.
>>96246237I don't know what site that is, but I suggest you read "sketchy Kyrgyzstani payment processor" out back to yourself, and ask if it really seems like a good idea.
Did you get any painting done over the weekend, anon?
>>96245950 (OP)>TQAlmost all the 40k video games.

>>96246226The skitarii elbows are especially weak, most others are better. Ultimately it comes down to price of developing the figures. We'd get way less releases if they had more complex joints, or at least that's my thinking.

>>96246279dark miniatures is better and I can attest to them not being a scam
>>96246283Like I said, it's a me problem with them. I'd be okay with less releases if it meant better toys. I don't really wish to own all of them, I just want the ones I own to be as close to effect as possible so I don't find myself wanting to buy yet another companies toy that's slightly better.

the original sketch's and designs for all of the eldar models and some of there background and lore as they were being developed throughout the 80s to early 2000s by Jes Goodwin. It's why its titled as the Eldar collection, and not something else like the origins of the eldar.
Also, anyone got there hands on a pdf of the Imperial Infantryman's handbook (not primer or manual) written by Mcneil? Been looking everywhere for it but it keeps resulting in it being either dead links or paying with a credit card that I don't have.

>>96246512Why so many armies anon
>>96246460Natural hair brushes all vary unless you're buying the absolute top of the line. It's best to take a good look at them instore. I usually buy one or two really nice detail brushes and then buy 100 packs of my favorite sized synthetics from amazon or aliexpress for basecoats and washes. I use cheap synthetics for everything aside from my final highlight steps.
>>96246558>100 packsDamn man, how long does one last you?
>>96246542>GuardMain army, just finishing painting up a bunch of Krieg stuff (Artillery teams and Death Riders/Drier)
>WEWas a painfully easy army to throw together (Angron + Kharn + kitbashed MOE + old Combat Patrol + new Battleforce + a Rhino is pretty damn close to 2k points) and I wanted a more melee-focused army since everything else is more shooting focused
>KnightsGrabbed last year's Battleforce and had a blast building/painting the kits inside so I snagged a second Questoris so I could have all the options available (Along with another two armigers). I plan on playing them with my kitbashed Subductors for flavor purposes.
>Combat Patrol stuffMostly bought into the magazine to get a bunch of models to ease my friends into the hobby, I've just been slacking on putting the stuff from it together (Only built the Terminator Captain/Winged Tyranid Prime/Leapers/Infernus Marines from it so far). I really need to get around to it soon since they're starting to send the Eldar stuff now.
>>96246560I think he smokes the brushes.
>>96246560I'm very bad for leaving brushes loaded when doing lots of glazing. So not as long as someone more attentive but still a decent length of time. I've done all my lamenters and about 2000pts of aos grots, like 300pts of aos nighthaunt for warcry, 1000pts of skeletons along with maybe 60-70 minis for warcry/boxed games and have maybe like 20 size 1s and 30 size 3 left over. You can also bring them back to life really easily with a cup of isopropyl and a cup of boiling water so they can be fixed if you have a split or hook. But when they get slightly too annoying to fix I just pitch them.
>>96245950 (OP)>TQ I like collecting codexes and BL novels.
>>96246604I keep meaning to slice out all the art from old codexes and frame the ones I like. I thought it'd be cool to collect all the painting and lore sections and hole punch and throw all of them in a binder for each to have a mega painting bible and lore bible
>>96246610Why not just get the pdfs?
>>96246614Because it's cool flipping through physical books, but I don't like storing books because they take up a lot of space. Especially with core books. They have a lot of cool lore stuff but I don't really need them after the edition is done.
>>96246449Check aliexpress and temu
What army did the weirdest and most autistic person you've ever played against play?
And any bonus funny/strange interactions?
>>96245950 (OP)>thats not modelsI buy certain codex releases just for the art/fluff. That would be about it though.
>>96246415unironically why I mostly play Necromunda and Kill Team despite my main army being over 5000 points now.
What should I work on as my second army? I come from a Gundam background so I ended up getting really into Knights for a while.
I was considering either a Dreadnaught army, mech Guard, Tau, or Custodes. Alternatively, there's also the choice of trying out other games, I guess.
>>96246038next time you pose all your models together you should try and recreate this painting with them
>>96245950 (OP)>>Thread Question:>Do you own anything 40k related that's not models?vidya
>>96246460pro tip by me. first get them in your pain water, pull out and while you get rid of the excess water twirl them on the paper towel then get nuln oil or any wash. dunk the brush in and then get the excess off on a paper towel while twirling aka doing a spinning motion. then dunk in water again, do the twirl thing and let the brush sit for a few hoers to a day. the hair will remember the shape it has to stay. serves me well.

Dark Eldar refresh is coming. I can feel it.
>>96246040Not a dig at your minis, they look good.
But why the FUCK do people take such dimly lit photos of their minis? I legit cant see shit, and on insta etc you see people jizzing and cumming at all these dimply lit pics with black background.
But... you can barely see the minis. What the fuck is there to appreciate?
>>96246729>why people take such photosThe darkness hides mistakes and shitty painting.
>why people like such photosThey think it's "atmospheric" and "grimdark".

>in 4 fart smelldar
I understand why some peeps at hhg don't like the rule changes for 3.0 but considering the state of 40k, would you be in favour of next edition using that ruleset? Seems better than 10th at the very least.
>>96246604I too enjoy collecting boys love
>>96246415carnac you try too hard
>>96246811We can keep the current ruleset, but I just want better customisation on my units.
I want combi weapons to mean something. I want power fists to be a real upgrade and not aide grades. I want accessories and side weapons that costs a bit of points to round up my army cost.
I just want my units to be less of a copy paste.
How would Abelard be implemented on the tabletop?
>>96246664I'll save everyone the time
>post unbelievable story or bad bait>everyonestoodupandclapped
>>96246902Agreed with the points. But I just really dislike 10th as a whole. It feels way to "gamey" in most of its mechanics and I hate its list building system.
To put a petty example of mine, both games have the same special rule under different names. Rending and lethal hits. Both allow, on a hit of 6, for the hit to wound automatically. In 30k this is something inherent of certain weapons. In 40k this is something that many characters or army rules give out just because. No logic behind it beyond it makes stuff stronger. No justification in-universe. It irks me a lot.
>>96246674Dreadnought army is peak kino
>>96246664>>96246921Don't know if this counts. Years ago I signed up for a league in a LGS that was quite a bit far from where I lived but I didn't have a car so it was the only place I could go by public transport (carrying a warhammer army by bus is shit don't do it). After several games of models not just unpainted, but a couple against straight up empty bases I got paired with a random kid that seemed to have literal, clinical mental problems. Dude couldn't be slower even if he tried. Don't blame him, but it sucked. Worst of all is the poor kid didn't even know how to play. His parents just threw him in the store for the day to not deal with him and I had to try and teach him how to play.
>>96246260Bought some water-effect resin and I'm experimenting with some bases to see if I do ocean themed bases for my flying-only nid army.

>>96246726Hate to be the vearer of bad new but you're not getting shit, anon. Eldar are already the most hated faction in the game. Dark Eldar hated just by association. You'll get a pity character this edition and be rolled into the Eldar codex next edition, where your shitty NPC s can sit neglected and forgotten like they deserve.
Are Thousand Sons a good army for a newfag? I have experience with old models since I played WFB years ago.

>>96247199For painting they are one of the most pain in the ass armies in the entire game. Definitely test the waters with a unit of rubrics before you commit to any major purchases and make sure you don't hate making them up.
As for play, they have a lot of tricky tactical depth but they're not so hard to learn I would say a novice shouldn't start them. They're probably quite rewarding to learn with as there's lots of room to grow as a player.
>>96247199Hard to paint and tricky to play like the other anon was saying.
>>96247231Alright, thanks. Painting wise I should be fine. In WFB I used to play Skaven and those little rats were small as fuck. I'm thinking about pulling the trigger now as I have time and there are still Battleforces available as well as both Combat Patrols so that could be a nice start.
Though I need to figure out how to paint them. I see there are multiple ways to do it. Start with Gold, start with Silver, even start with White and use those new Contrast Paints I know nothing about.
>>96247241But worth it, right? R-right?!
>>96247223Because they are getting refreshed in 10th, of course

>>96247319>Never got the hate for their lore. They're uppity retards who hipsters want to prerend are the good guys vecause the Imperium burrs their feelings. >>96247319>Never got the hate for their lore. It's just bunch of fags getting mad that not every faction is encrusted in skulls or spikes.
Also they fail to realize that the point of the Tau existing is to highlight how absurdly horrific factions like the Imperium and Chaos are.
Why does the Imperium have to be so autostic with the xenophobia, why not at least facilitate a healthy rape culture? Where you slaughter all the men, but keep all the women as pleasure slaves? Imagine taking over a Craftworld and giving young fresh guardsmen conscripts that survived the battle helping their marine bros capture it Aeldari beauties to enjoy and spill their seed into for days, weeks, months until being deployed. Imagine people like Macha, Kyre, Yrliet, Jain Zar etc. taking ykung guardsmen cocks daily, hourly, in every hole. Imperium passing laws for young imperial men to lose their virginity to the local Eldar cumdump before getting married so he can experience exquisote flesh. And since they live for thousand sof years they will become masters of pleasing cocks. Imagine a grandad telling his grandchild "Yep I was among the first to fuck that slut that you're about to empty your balls in, let's see if you can make her moan harder than I could" it would be so soulful. Tau and Kroot would also be decent fucks, but they are short live, they can get surviving Tau to make a new sex slave caste, that is engineered for sex and pleasure. The possibilities are endless. But GW have to be prudes and deny us realistic story telling, this is how proper conquerors always behaved like Genghis Khan.
>>96247331You would have to be a drool on the floor retard to need the Tau to exist just so you can conceptualize how fucked up the Imperium and Chaos is.

But tau also exist to highlight the fact how horrible the Imperium actually is. Imperium IS the most bloody and cruel regime imaginable and it's not good in any shape or form and the whole "survival of the human race" is entirely a moot point when it is factually canon to the setting that the Imperium's cruelty, brutality in its very own actions and how it functions IS slowly driving humanity into eventual collapse and extinction.
That has been the intent of the creators for like 30+ years.
Tau existing highlight this by showing that how the Imperium operates is not sustainable at all, and eventually it WILL just kill the very race it is trying to "protect".
Same goes for the Votann.
Imperial Guard "regiments" are NOT REGIMENTS. They are self-suffieicent DIVISION OR LARGER SIZE units that are just called Regiments for simplicitys sake.

- you have small range of units, you if you buy just what you like, it will be always good for your army
- army just looks complicated, as soon as you try their mechanics for 2-3 times, you'll get it completely
- they have not that big number of units in the army on average, so it's easier to control them during the game
- they're actually easy to paint. You just base them with whatever color you like: blue, red, sand, anything. The wash with nuln oil or something like skeleton horde. Then you go buy an acrylic pen and drow SOME (not all! it's important!) edges with gold or silver, which you prefer more. That's it. >>96248581>>96248590terrible opinion, MarKINO 8 is great
All wargear on models is now separated into tiers, and the cost of a model increases or decreases based on the tier.
For example, the basic 'Intercessor' squad has 3 tiers.
Tier 0, at 75 points, has 5 Marines with Bolt Rifles and a grenade launcher
Tier 1, at 80 Pts, allows for the Sgt to wield a Power Fist, Power Weapon, and for the squad to have a Grenade Launcher
Tier 2, at 85pts, allows for the Sgt to wield a Thunder Hammer in addition to the above. As it now costs more, the Thunder Hammer's profile army-wide is increased to be more of a straight upgrade over Fists instead of a sidegrade.
Increasing the squad size is an additional bonus cost, in this case, 75 points.
For a more complex unit like Drukhari Scourges:
Tier 0, at 50 Points, has 5 Scourges with Shardcarbines
Tier 1, at 60 points, has 5 scourges with Shredders or Splinter Cannons
Tier 2, at 80 pts, has 5 Scourges with Heat Lance/Haywire/Dark Lance/Blasters
Increasing the squad size is an additional cost, in this case 50 points - which will get you the Solarite, 4 Heavy weapon scourges and 5 shardcarbine scourges for 130 points.
I think by separating wargear into tiers and having the view of "If you unlock it, go nuts" makes wargear costs more attractive since agonizing over the exact weapon loadout of a unit might suck, but if it's pay 5 points and your Sgt can have a powerfist and the rest of the squad gets a plasma pistol, essentially bundling wargear together, it allows for list fine-tuning and has a better list building experience. It also allows for 'premium' weapon options with much higher statlines - Thunderhammers could be the premium melee weapon for characters and as a result be expensive but much more deadly.
Working on new eldar head sculpt.
Wish I had a 3D printer to see if these actually looked good on a model though lol.

Work on what then was known as the MkV armour began after MkIV production was finalized. It took lessons learned from that suit and was meant to be the next step, fixing issues and simplifying production and maintenance, while keeping as much of the advancements as possible. Due to the Heresy the project was forced out the door as the MkVI (MkV Heresy Armour managed to get pushed out before it) while the machinery and materials were moved from Mars to Terra to finalize the project, creating the MkVII. Both are mechanically similar enough that they've remained in service till M41.
Of course, over the years the fluff has gone back and forth. Sometimes MkVI entered service before the Heresy (so why is it VI and not V?) and sometimes it was designed as a recon armour from the start.

>>96247740Very happy here. I'm glad to see GW finally bit the bullet and trashed JT because they cannot balance them. JT were either completely busted or felt awful because you threw away half your army for the rest to function at baseline. This is going to feel much better to play with, where you can either go extremely defensive and board points and be really tough, or go for more offensive and constantly spend YP to increase your attack. Without seeing a lick of list building we've already got 2 ways to play the faction.
Some concerns I have, though:
>Nothing giving us a bonus to wound means that our guns need to have higher strength than the index. We were balanced around having +1 to wound so without that our guns will be terrible if they don't change. I trust that they took this into consideration, I'm just a bit worried.>Everything is still +1 to hit and not +1 to WS/BS, meaning no combos with Heavy and other +1 to hit bonuses like the iron-master. I'm really hoping that this new rule means they pulled their heads out of their behinds and have rewritten the datasheets to actually play well with this (looking at you, scoped sniper with a 5+ WS) instead of feeling like the army rule and datasheets were written by separate teams with no communication between the twoI already got all of the new range ordered at my LGS as it went up yesterday. I'm super happy to get the new stuff on the table and play with this new rule, because it looks so much more fun than JT ever could be.
In the meantime I'm painting my other dwarves and selling an army I don't like anymore to get the new chaos dwarves in their place. It's truly a good time to be a dwarf lover.
The Silent King novel reveals that Roboute is grooming promising Primaris marines to become leaders and governors of mankind, not just warriors. He is still following his old dreams from the Great Crusade, when he wanted Space Marines to rule over humanity.
Abaddon is fighting so that marines can rule the Imperium they built.
So there is no disagreement between them fundamentally. Both see Marines as better rulers than men. Shouldn't they make peace and hash things out? They have the same goal.

Marines were never going to rule the Imperium at all. Emperor never promised this at all.
Ever since Imperium was founded most of its govermental and bureocratic elements were handled by regular humans, like Senatorum Imperialis which already existed when the Unification Wars ended on Terra.
Same goes for the Adeptus Administratum which was founded by Malcador himself.
None of these things were never hidden at all. Abaddon is genuinely just a clueless, un-observant half-wit. And is now just making it the entire galaxy's problem because he is an idiot.
He isn't even fit to rule anyway, Emperor might be a tyrant in Abaddon's eyes, but so is Abaddon himself. He's a hypocrite.
If he ever gets power he will just rule over humanity with an iron fist worse than the Emperor ever would.
>>96249211I see where you're coming from for sure. It's a downside to the rule that it really only plays around objectives and is thus easy to predict, but I'd much prefer interactions like this where my opponent considers staying off of an objective, possibly losing points because of it, to keep an important unit alive. To me that's just more strategy for both of us and that's a big reason why I'm here. Hell, who's to say that during my turn I don't switch to the defensive state, go onto the objective myself (now that it's not contested by his death star), and then get the +1 to hit anyway?
To me, when the alternative is that I have to throw away a good chunk of my army for minimal benefits, I much prefer this.

>I have to throw away a good chunk of my army for minimal benefitsthey gave you 4 units completely maxed for free, and i have yet to face off against an opponent that has more than 4 priority targets. most people build their lists around 2-3 serious threats from what i've played. since the update that gave them 4 JTs at the start i have never felt wanting for JTs to mark important targets.
>where my opponent considers staying off of an objective, possibly losing points because of itif has also been my experience that a lot of the most dangerous stuff in the opponents army doesnt need to be anywhere near objectives to do its job, and arent usually scoring units anyways.
i dont want to write it off until i've played it some and seen the rest of the codex for context, but as it is now, it cedes a lot of control over your army to your opponents decisions, which is almost always a bad thing. like, why does an enemy dorn or riptide ever need to stand near an objective? so they can just ignore the first several turns of hit buffs for our whole army.

I guess the only thing I can kinda refute is that I think you're being a bit conservative with how many YP you get. I think that you can be aggressive and get yourself in defensive mode turn 2 pretty easily, considering that you can use your infiltrators, bikes, and transports to capture objectives quickly to get yourself points early on. You get into semantics on whether or not you're still throwing away units, but this still feels a lot better than literally tossing points into a fire to gain bonuses. >>96249414Honest answer? I fell in love with the Wraith units since forever ago. The current edition of the Wraithlord and the Wraithseer is probably my favorite pair of models in the whole game.
Besides that:
They are distinct enough from "elves" to be their own thing. I normally dislike elves.
I love the "last survivors in space" ancle ever since Homeworld. The fact that the various games have made them sound like the Quarian also trigger my childhood/teenage love of those aliens.
Their main gimmick in Battlefleet Gothic was the solar sails which vibe with my love of age of sails and, again, from childhood, treasure planet.
Aspect warriors are a smorgasbord of colors and flavor, there's something for all styles, and they are a great excuse to paint something outside of your normal army colours.
I like having "wizards" sprinkled around the army, though the current edition blows chunks when it comes to that feeling.
I love the helmets across the board, they look like some sort of tribal mask which again makes the army look unique.
They go fast. In editions past they actually MOVED more then 6 inches and still shot their load. A mute point these days I guess.
Their vehicles looks sleek as hell. Again, coming from an age where the Rhino was all I saw, before I got into the Eldar. The size and panels BEGGED for clean paint jobs.
Thats just off the top of my.
What about you, what do you like about your army?
>>96249477something something time in the warp something something daemon is born and always existed something something slaanesh caused it's own birth ala back to the future
so how do you guys decide on which army to pick?
I've narrowed it down to orks, GSC or raptor space marines

>>96249368>>96249257Unless I'm mistaken, there are ways other than objectives to gain YT, depending on your detachment.
What is the priority for something being canon? The impression (in descending order) I've gotten is:
>rulebooks
>models
>WH+ animations
>white dwarf
>warhamner community
>black library
>video games
With two special exceptions
>something is canon until information from an equal or higher priority bracket supercedes it (Wraithbone, Terminus Decree, female Custodes)
>something can become more resistant to being superceded by being cited in a higher priority bracket after a large amount of community attention (Captain Titus, Blood Ravens, Uftak Blackhawk)
>>96249678Canon: thing that fits my narrative
Not-canon: thing I don't like / doesn't fit my narrative
>>96249677Correct. The one detachment that was shown in full gives you YP by killing units, which I forgot to mention. Not exactly sure if it's the outlier or if they all do stuff like that, but regardless I think the 7YP isn't hard to achieve (unless you're spending them as fast as you gain them to be extremely aggressive)
>>96249678>What is the priority for something being canon?Whether I like it or not.
>>96248715Very nice head my man. Keep up the good work!
>>96249593I guess the Wraith angle makes sense but literally every other point is done better by a different faction.
It happens every time Eldar get brought up like this. There's nothing actually unique about them, and when coupled with the rest of their background it all becomes watered down by how unlikeable they are.
>>96249603I liked space marines because when I came into 40k they reminded me of Spengler's centurion. I think if I came into it now I would probably end up collecting Eldar with a lot of harlequin or a Ahriman aligned 1ksons cabal for the whole "fighting against fate" angle.
>>96249719>but literally every other point is done better by a different faction.Such as?
>>96249506I mean, GW pretty much ended all Eldar lore with picrelated

>>96249700This. It's the only way not to go insane.
>>96249788And how do those examples do it better than eldar?

>>96249826Custodes you just call it a blood game or whatever their "pretend you're trying to kill the emperor" thing is

>>96249798Now make the 32mm marine be popping out of a joytoy figure
>>96249788Not to just argue with you anon but...
Both Tau and Necrons were introduced to the game and setting well after Eldar was, or space elves as they were called way back when.
>Hyper specialized warriors - Marines. That's only in recent times since Primaris came and took away the whole generalized super adaptive warfare style they used to have. That was their main problem in older metas, Jack of all trades, master of none.
>>96249842I mean Sisters versus Custodes. Youโd need some bullshit shenanigans for Sisters to raise their weapons against the Custards.
>>96249851>Both Tau and Necrons were introduced to the game and setting well after Eldar wasAnd in time rendered Eldar completely obsolete. Time to let go.
>>96249826I could see there being some manner of conflict with Sisters defending a living Saint type being wanting to go to Terra and see the interred Emperor, and the Custodes having something to say about the legitimacy of that. Confilct doesn't always have to be pragmatically combative, there is a constant simmering schism in the Mechanicus of those who firmly believe the Emperor is a manifestation of the Omnissiah, and those who believe he is blessed by the Omni but not a manifestation of it.

>The Cawl-pattern Plasma Incinerator with the affixed purity seal, presented by the armoury servitor, sir?
>The very same.
>Then yes, I did touch the Plasma Incinerator.
>Very well. Brother Tulio, by the power vested in me by the Lord Commander's Codex Astartes, henceforth are you banished from Second Company Squad Rigidio. No longer are you an Intercessor and brother under my command. Your lot shall be to find a place with a Hellblaster Squad of our Company, and should you find no place with them, alone shall you be a Hellblaster Squad of one. So it is written, so shall it be.

I think it would be cool to do a thematic force around Gravis Armor, nothing huge 100 points at most, something like
>Captain>Biologis>Heavy Intercessors>Eradicators>Aggressors>Maybe a Dreadnought Speaking of, weird how there isn't a Techmarine in Gravis Armor or even in Terminator armor.
>>96249990They arenโt exactly the same concept though. Wraithlords are the minds of dead Eldar inhabiting a body, where Rubric Marines are functionally mindless space dust. Originally Wraithlords were Eldar Dreadnoughts (and technically predate the first mentions of the Tsons) and thus the concept always had for parallels with the Dreadnoughts.
>>96250111Rubric marines retain some sentience, they're just locked into a "body" that they cannot control.
>>96250104None of those are elves.
