Doesn't go on autistic details regarding shit thats not really important to the point you got cutscenes that last like a movie and gets shit bloated like Arknights. They usually keep it simple, with a bit of room for you to fill in the details with your imagination in some small details.
Story is either depression porn and psychological horror, cute girls doing cute fun things, shit that explores the lore a bit, or you actually having sex with borg girls.
MC can switch between cool guy with useful skills, does absolutely nothing, and a complete retard. Sometimes he is our self insert, other times he is his own character.
Some girls make sense to exist and be who they are. Others doesn't, and either have some implications over what the fuck is wrong or they wonder themselves what is up with them. Some are literally mentally ill.
Sometimes they leave some small details that imply interesting shit. For example, MC is constantly under surveillance. From the start, you already got a retarded borg girl on your squad claiming to be a spy. Since she is so much of an eccentric retard, you don't give a shit. Then later you see her boss getting a report on your activities using live footage. In another moment, a different CEO contacts you and knows about the shit you need help with. How the fuck does he know? He is pretty much the owner of Nikke's version of AT&T, so he is likely reading your DMs. Then you talk to another borg girl and says she managed to install fucking DOOM in your bathroom's mirror. How the fuck did she do that? Its not a mirror, its a screen with a camera.
They sometimes leave interesting details around that let you connect on some dots.
They don't bother explaining it, they assume you can figure it out if you have half a brain. They will only spell out the important shit.
