I saw in a video review that the game lets you confirm glyphs by matching them to drawings in the journal, which seems like it would make things easy. Do you think it would be possible to play the game without using that mechanic, and instead just rely on a handwritten notebook?

Ender Lillies is a good metroidvania. Great atmosphere, good gameplay, decent level design (on the weaker end of the genre imo). I still enjoyed it a lot.

Witch Spring R was a pretty fun and comfy JRPG. Might be a little overpriced depending on what you're expecting. Best way I can describe it is it's essentially an older Atelier game but it was remade to now be a linear JRPG with no time limit. Gameplay is super solid and I did enjoy my playthrough of it (put around 35 hours into it).

I got High on Life because I actually really enjoyed getting high and playing Trover Saves the Universe in VR, which was the dev’s prior game, but it hasn’t been all that funny so far, so I’ve just been running around shooting shit, and playing “Name That Voice”. If you like a sort of back and forth between bosses, I think Wukong is better for that.
If you like doing bigger combos, especially with a faster pace where you know messing up can instantly put you on the back foot then Khazan.
I think I probably like Wukong more but they're both really good. Khazan is also more like Nioh I guess, so if you really like those games then maybe Khazan is the better pick.
