I liked em. RE7 is a tad more "survival horror", while RE8 mimics RE4's mechanics and pacing. Shooting in both games feels good and they're moderately challenging on higher difficulties.

The only thing I disliked about them is that they both end weaker than they start. The last act in both of them is a bit of a slog.

I was deciding between finally buying rain world or aoe2 dlcs then i noticed ender lilies and decided to buy that instead.
Best game i bought in such a long time and im only 1h in.

I got a new comp a few months back that can run games I previously could never play. I picked up Black Myth Wukong, Space Marine 2, Darktide, Palworld, Starfield, and Elden Ring. Any other recommendations for games I missed out on? Sekiros not on sale otherwise I would get that too

Hollow Knight is a selection of very basic mechanics executed to the highest level of excellence, although it takes quite a bit to pick up steam. It's one of the more sprawling metroidvanias, gonna last you a while.

Yeah it unironically does get much better past the first dungeon and much much better from there.
Basically, the game was in early access for a really long time and that first part suffers from having been deisgned a really long time ago when they were really into the "offline MMO" gimmick even down to the boring quest style. Past a certain point in the game, all the quests either lead to a cool miniboss or some minigame, anyway, they never miss and the game is absolutely loaded with great side content from that point onward. and there's also the fact that you unlock more elements so your playstyle evolves over time.
When I bought the game at release I actually refunded it after 2 hours and the next day I wanted to play it some more to I bought it again and then sunk 90 hours into it.

I bet nobody has experience about these two.

I've played it at release and a league after, but before the add-on and it's quite forgettable. At the time I was thinking that they could have pulled more out of it, especially considering that they are such a big company. You'd expect the game to offer more and maybe add theme park activities like in MMOs, but there was barely anything. No idea how it is today, but it felt bare bones at the time.
I'd say they should make a top down mmo next that is closer to wow to capture an audience. But the time for mindless grind and group activities might be over in such games. You are probably better off playing the new rune scape valheim game with friends.

100% it is. $30 is probably the best it'll go on sale.
I bought it full price and did not regret it.
It has a lot of weapons, upgrades and other stuff to unlock. The story is told in pieces so it definitely requires multiple (20+) play throughs and there is the option to play with others.

I've noticed the same thing and this was the conclusion I drew but it mostly just came from me changing my view of my backlogs from a monument of shame for my past poor financial decisions to a mighty tool to protect me from future poor financial decisions. When it was all physical you'd keep the great games and trade in the okay or shit ones and your library consisted only of great shit which you had played a buttload of and whatever was newest. Digital gives us all plenty of shit to play until two years pass and that new game is selling for 30 bucks or better. If you've been around and buying games for any amount of time you can buy gams on your own schedule.

People aren't wrong about it becoming empire management after a certain point, but the scope ballooning into empire autism is a player-driven thing. The way it usually goes is something like

It's possible to play them as a lone bounty hunter who makes money stealing ships, taking assassination contracts or whatever, but outfitting capital ships is hard without the infrastructure to support it and there are a lot of practical reasons to want capital ships.
If you just want to shoot stuff, they're probably not the games for you.
