You'll want to join a club and do team trials (pvp) eventually.
Stuff you can do: Daily races, Team Trials, Legend Races (when those are up), when you do any of those you can activate a "daily sale" which sells star pieces, in the club Shop you can also use your Club points to buy Star Pieces. You can use star pieces not just to increase the star rank of an uma (if they become 3 stars they get a new outfit and Unique Skill), you can also use those star pieces to UNLOCK Umas you don't have yet. But mostly the advantage of clubs is getting free carats when the rank is high enough.

In career mode you can complete runs to accumulate fans (to rank up your club) Event Points (to get rewards for the current main event) inspiration sparks (to make your next career run/PVP more powerful) get monies (so you can level up your support cards and characters), etc
