For a smaller developer, I ignore it because it's obviously a complete budgetary necessity. For bigger developers, it's just another reason to fire someone and use cheaper, shittier assets to keep overhead down and layoffs up.
Like many things in life, it depends on the context and there's no one-size-fits-all solution.
