She was warned about dealing with the writers and did so anyways. That other anon is a bit harsh and you're right that we don't know all the details of how the writers used her, but we do know that her family said "stay away from those typeniggers" and she said "nuh uh" and inadvertently got herself trapped in a deadly fire that Verso sacrificed himself to pull her out of. The thing is, she's 16. Teenage girls do dumb shit all the time, it doesn't usually have such dire repercussions. We don't really know what kind of people anyone in the family are, we only see them in the midst of one of the worst tragedies a family can go through, and with access to magical alternate worlds.
