This game is so over bloated in beta I can't possibly imagine what it would look like on launch. What was the point of making an entirely new game if you're going to port 10 years of shitty mechanics and systems into it? Outside of a few system changes like how gems work the game is identical to the first one with just a lot less content.

I feel like mines will be super busted in PoE2.

One of the best parts about Act 4 is that you won't have to play Act 3 twice.

We know that TotA and Kingsmarch are in act 4 because of the artbook and previous showcases, they confirmed a full league mechanic in the announcement, there already was a leak for a new Monk ascension and the re-balance was confirmed in an interview.

For the speculative stuff, that's all shit we know they are working on, but if they make it into 0.3 is anyone's guess.

My wish list:

-Armor/life balance. Bring it in line with evasion/energy shield

-Passive tree rework. Right now it feels like you're only collecting damage/crit nodes and that's it. Add some more defensive nodes.

-Ascension rework. Trials of the Sekhemas is the worst part of PoE 2 imo. I can't believe they did away with the labyrinth.

-Give us alterations/scourings. Early game crafting still feels like you're flinging shit at the wall, praying you get the resist you're looking for.

-Make reforging/salvage benches the same. Such a pain in the ass to come back to town and click on a bunch of different tables and vendors.

The developers want you to use skill combos and take deliberate actions, while also making the endgame consist of very fast hard hitting monsters and also the progression being on the grindier side which again punishes builds that don't destroy a screen in a click or two.

strongboxes/essences/breach/expedition/ritual/delirium/atlas trees/towers could all be removed and it would not fundimentally change the endgame (which is boring and repetitive with map levels not mattering almost at all until you reach 15+). Also I'm sorry to say but if you're currencies tab looks like this and yet crafting still feels awful to play with then you have failed as a designer. There's simply no reason to have all of this crap in the game when it serves no purpose outside of ''Well it was in the first game, so lets just put it in the second one, huehue!''. There's nothing there, It's just coats and coats of paint on a rundown shed. This does not look like intelligent design to me.

I gave up on PoE2 following 0.2.0, not because I disliked Huntress or the difficulty balancing, but because it was a buggy unstable mess.

Not even 0.1.0 was as bad as 0.2.0 in terms of shit simply not working, and server disconnecting every 5 minutes. I lost so much progress on 0.2.0 on my huntress.

I also dislike how they caved in to casuals wanting to ignore parrying. I enjoyed the parry/counter gameplay a lot.

Really on the fence as to whether I even bother with 0.3 now, given GGG's track record with shitty server stability. I imagine many will do the same, we've just given up trusting there'll be any semblance of a smooth gameplay experience.

Yes, it does. And you unlock all gems by end of act 3. Meanwhile in PoE 2 a bunch of gems are only unlocked after you get to maps, something around lvl 68 iirc. Also getting to lvl 38 in PoE 1 takes 1h30 min for someone who knows the game well on a new start. Getting to lvl 70~ in PoE 2 takes 10h~ I was in that argument once before, so I checked a bunch of launch streams for the last PoE 2 league, and people like steel, ziz, even racers like darkee/ben took 10h~ to get there.
Which is dogshit, and I have other games to play if PoE 2 expects me to not have fun for 10h but later, oh later it gets good I swear. I would rather play a game that is fun from the first hour onwards.

Yeah, no. I get the point that you're trying to make but this is just fucking wrong. Even if we ignore Enlighten etc, there's still the issue of transfigured gems.

In PoE2 most core skills come online at around lvl 20-40, the gems past that are strong, but they are mostly build enhancing, not build enabling. In PoE half the meta skills are transfigured and farming them day 1 is giga cancer and I'll take a higher level requirement any day of the week. I started VFoS in SSF this league and had to do 37(!) lab runs to get it.

Auction house trading would fundamentally change the entire economy of the game. Right now I'm not selling anything that isn't work at least a div, and even for that I'm often too lazy to leave the map.

Bullshit. You literally don't get cast on X skills until lvl 68. A bunch of literally build defining skills are unusable until maps. Same with the minions can be targeted as corpses ability. Also 68+

However fair. Trans gems are a thing in PoE 1, but there are maybe a handful that could not be used in their base configuration. And the most important, you can buy them. I can just buy a FRoS gem and use it at lvl fucking 16.
Have fun playing PoE 2, if you enjoy being miserable. But the cadence at which you obtain abilities, is objectively worse than PoE 1. I will be playing a game that does not force me into hours of C'n'B torture just to have some fun in the lategame. Which is also an objective downgrade from PoE 1, with less choice.

Its existed since diablo 2. At least in PoE clearing maps is not the main focus of the game, but rather one cog in a giant mechanism. If you are spending a lot of time grinding in maps its because you fucked up somewhere and bottlenecked your progression.

Man I wish I could enjoy the game when 0.3 drops. So far I've only liked the audiovisual part of the game. I dont like the new way gems level, i dont like the current gems in early game, i dont like most of the campaigns (act 3 is literally total shithole) and the loot acquisition feels very random like sometimes you just dont get fuck all during campaign(ssf only so maybe trade is better). Only truly positive things are the new link system, music and visuals. FUCK i want to love this game but act 3 is literally so fucking boring and trash that its almost impossible for me to not quit during it.

They HAVE to differentiate 2 by making the zoom meta impossible. I sometimes get back into 1 to just turn my brain off grinding and enjoy that but they need to make 2 *actually* play differently. Drops need to be weighted to your character even if it means you won't be playing for a thousand hours.

Find a way to reward slow deliberate play. Anything, anything at all to not make the optimal choice blitzing through content because the drops are so awful.

What is the structure of the game now that they are adding act 4? Do you replay 1-4 twice or 1-4 + 1-2 or what the fuck?
