Doormen (often "valet" today) are/were men specifically chosen to be the outwards face of a restaurant or hotel, who would act as both a greeter and a bouncer to keep undesirables out and welcome guests, typically by opening the doors of the carriage or car on arrival. Yeah, Xenoblade got a bunch of British stage actors too, so XB1 and XB3 have great dubs. I still go for original voice acting where available, but it's more to get as authentic experience as possible.
Another good example is the Gothic series.
The only con is that at times you'd hear the same actors in multiple titles and they never really attempted multiple pitches/ranges, but the voice acting direction usually trumped over that con as well.

They were (wisely) trying to capitalize on the interest in the project. Then, tons of people tried it and bounced off it. Once 100k people tried it then dropped it, it was probably clear to them it needed more time in the oven, because it did. Once that wave of popularity crashed it made way more sense to put their noses down and finish the game before "releasing" it and doing a big marketing push. I honestly cannot believe how many retards said they lost interest because they thought it looked bad and wouldn't comprehend that it was in the early stages of beta where you don't even see most games. The fact that people looked at plain grey geometry on the map that would change every update and thought that was the final look was retarded.

All of this is a really long way to say "this is why devs don't show in development games often".

Theater actors certainly have better experience because they perform something they rehearsed hundreds of times in overtime before an audience appears, and have to provide clear volume and diction across the stage so everyone can hear. Physical performance is guaranteed, as well, since your entire presence is seen on stage. The high stakes of failing your line delivery or queue can be immersion breaking and lose future opportunity for work. No recuts or retakes.

That being said, many of us left the theater because there's too much woke shit in the education and having to perform as gay snowflakes half the time or deal with racegenderswapped shakespeare characters. Its all so tiresome. I'd be happy to voice act for non-kiked projects, just don't know the circles to get into to provide samples.

How do I have fun in Deadlock?
I've tried multiple characters but I ALWAYS lose.
I'm old and slow but I somehow manage to have fun in Dota and CS (at lower ranks).

But in Deadlock everything is so complicated:
1. Projectiles for weapons have travel time. Maybe that's against aimbotters is good but for me who's already bad at aiming with hitscan now I have add travel time of bullet to the equation? It's hard.
2. Lasthitting/denying feels like extra bloat in a game already stuffed full with mechanics. Creeps should just give gold on kill and you can just shoot them to deny them.
3. Map is TOO complex and big.
4. Player pool is filled with nolife tryhards. Ofc it's because of closed beta. I hope release has more players.

Overall impression is like too much shit going on at the same time on screen. Reading it all and playing is harder than playing meepo/invoker in Dota.

I do hope Valve simplifies the game a bit. I really want to enjoy I really like aesthetics and voice acting it but it's too hard for me
