2042 launch was insanely bad. They had updates weekly which considering this was also for consoles which needed reviews and all that for updates that was a big deal. It pretty much took that long to get it to a decent level of just all the basic features working.
The beta of 6 is miles better then what 2042's beta was so I doubt they'd need to do such a thing.

Yall complaining about the map sizes need to chill. EA clearly wanted a well-running beta experiemce and this is probably one of if not the best in that department we have ever seen. It should be expected that one of the aspects taken into consideration would be the map sizes. Call me coping if you want, but screencap this either way so I can get credit when I'm right. They wanted smaller maps to stress test a successful beta without major hiccups.
What you should be complaining about is the rediculous amount of color desaturation. It was annoying in BF3 and it's annoying here. Say what you want about 1, 5, and 2042, those games had some beautiful looking maps. If Cairo needs to be brown and dusty throughout then that's fine, but there is no reason for Liberation Peak and Gibraltar to be as grey and Bayformers-esq.
None of this will likely be fixed of course because this isn't really a "beta". It's more of a demo to gage interest and advertise the full release. Anything north of some visual glitches and weapons value fixes won't be changed unless the game gets delayed. Hell, I don't even expect them to overhaul the UI in time for launch.
Anyways, I'm looking forward to the game, but lol don't pre-order. It's nice that they finally figured out how to do crossplay properly too.

I would not bother removing the anticheat as it DOES NOT RUN if the game is not running. No background process, no always on service, nothing unless battlefield is running.

This is generally true but with two big caveats.
1. Sometimes bad genes can just fuck you. Balding for example can happen no matter how well you take care of yourself.
2. If you're a woman, you have significantly less of a runway on your "youth". Pretty much once you turn 22 or 23 the wall starts getting steeper and steeper. small maps = more carnage, more gun fights, more fun, more explosions, chokepoints, everything BF is known for but faster, more refined lanes in maps and design meaning the devs can concentrate on making the map itself more fun

My dumbass friend complains about running for 30 minutes to get to the next objective. My counter point is usually to point out that he spends more time waiting to respawn on small maps and spawns are worse as well. Personally I like big maps. I'd rather be walking and looking for snipers/etc than waiting to deploy and be alive for 6 nanoseconds after the dude I spawned gets pushed while I'm loading in. If I walk into an obj, I always do better. Maybe it's because I care about K/D and he cares more about being in the action? Anyway, I play battlefield for the big maps. I like the freedom of movement and the option to flank from unexpected directions. I hate the 'lane' arena shooter map design. from that video i saw 2042 had the problem of having too many vehicles which would destroy the infantry experience, so i gues no would be my answer i get the point you use a vehicle to get to the fights quicker, you need to keep in mind if they can even make it to a area where the gun fight is, find a player and not get killed getting there or end up getting there and getting killed by someone waiting

now all that happens in a big map but also a small map the difference is on small maps you get into the action very quickly thats why i keep saying this to anons here, BF6 looks like a turning point you are going to get a fuck load influx of new players let them learn the ropes on small maps and slowly enlarge them they will then understand why breathing room is neccesary for a game like this.

Needs more dialogue or a bit more colorful/expressive lines.
Loading screens are soulless, again they won't add the radio chatter(BF4 feels empty/barren sound wise) and the kit icons suck.

spotting is pointless because the game auto-spots everything for you.
It is by far my biggest complaint about the game and it has been something these games have struggled with in all the modern day-esq settings, starting with 3.
The soldiers didn't "pop" out so the game just painted a bright triangle and name over everyone's head and you looked for that.
With 6, the triangle has been replaced by a diamond. I can't tell you the number of people I have killed when I didn't even see them with my eyes, but the game put the orange diamond over their heads and I just shot at that and got the kill. Seriously, there is ZERO use trying to hide in bushes or trees because the game will just reveal you to anyone looking roughly in your vicinity.
This is the biggest problem imo. Not the maps. Not even the UI. This shit. The broken ass spotting system.
Look at pic related. The player didn't see this guy hiding in the bush. He was just waking down this alleyway and the game goes "HEY JUST SO YOU KNOW THERE'S AN ENEMY PLAYER HIDING RIGHT HERE"

If your form is bad you'll get stuff like various tendons being sore. If you're carrying too much weight your knees will suffer. It was a rushed game by a B team studio to capitalize on 1942's success.
If you've ever played Bioshock 2/Arkham Origins/Majoras Mask you know what Vietnam feels like. Not bad, but rushed out using the more popular game's assets with less content and troubling performance. It felt like a standalone expansion to 1942 that should have not coasted full price, and it never got any significant expansion content of its own. There are Vietnam mods in 1942 that were more popular and played better.
The best thing about Vietnam was blasting songs from the choppers. It was kind of kino, but it got repetitive.
BF2 was out barely a year later and made it irrelevant, while others kept playing 1942.

it will no doubt get at least a solid year, year and a half of updates even if it fails to meet expectations, but if EA wants this to be a major win and not just something that barely keeps the franchise alive, they will need to go whole hog on the live service elements, and the best way to ensure regular updates is to have a strong launch followed by a highly engaging series of battle passes. you unfortunately cannot do that with the skins lined up. voicelines and taunts would be a good place to start if you want to dip your toe in slowly. or first demoing the more "interesting" skins in the firestorm BR mode.

i think helis are clumsy on purpose. you either select to hover to shoot a target constantly or you fly in the cardinal directions, never in a circle because they dont want helis terrorizing flags like in previous games.

For what its worth, shooters on console basically never work with verticality due to the controller movement. Way easier to go left and right than up and down and THEN adjust left/right, diagonal movements on sticks are terrible for aiming in shooters. It's why every BF game plays way different on consoles and it has aim assist.

Actually, now I look at the chart it makes sense because I memory-holed CoD Mobile/CoD Online. Both are playable on PC, and Chinese markets are actually (for some reason) big for CoD.

It's going to be a shame when the game launches and not everyone is trying to grind a task to get vehicle repair. Tanks get obliterated so fast since they've taken away the self heal ability (not counting the repair mechanism that only fixes a critical fault). That combined with all the tight hallways, all it takes is two engineers who are focused on the tank to fire 4 rockets in a matter of seconds before you can react. First weekend was a blast though.

One of the reasons why BC2 maps are so good is they have lots of height differences, even though most buildings only go 2 floors up. The variety means you can engage at short, medium or long ranges depending on which direction you take.

The supposed "destruction" in this game is really lackluster. Half the time it just means a building has the front blown off and a magical pile of rubble with an invisible wall spawns inside. Or nothing happens at all.

I just wish you could pancake some of the buildings at least. Not important ones that overlook key points like cairo C for the left spawning team, but most of the shit that is just visual foddder while you're rotating between points.

This was always a dumb comment. Most of the buildings in BF6 are some kind of modular assets you slap together. They could make a 1x1 building that pancakes or has its walls blown off, then just add modularity to the destruction system as well but they probably have technical limitations of some kind.

BF6's target audience isn't exactly sophisticated though. They want 100 million players, so that means they need to appeal to idiots too. If they're dumbing down everything else then they also need to dumb down their icons.
