When gunsmoke wraps up, Bullies on Darkwinter is open for new people. Nah, XCOM style was the best call. The problem is there are no tactics or any decision making you would typically have in XCOM. So it's a monkey paw kinda situation really.. snowbreak is FPS and it plays horribly because it's built around hoyoslop combat (quick swapping most units for less than a second and then spending some time on the main "carry")

They didn't expect the game to become all about mono elements and Gunsmoke in the early stages. For example, Jiangyu's old Ult before her incoming rework did increased damage if the enemy was on a Tideway (Hydro) tile, even though she's an Electric doll. They probably planned on doing more elemental reactions like that but it just didn't work out. Now we have a bunch of dolls in the same squads with a bunch of different elements that have no synergy together.
Best we can hope for in the future is for new squads to all use new elements together, or for characters like Vector who still don't have the rest of their team yet for them all to be Burn together.

I think literally the only two dolls that actually work together and are also close partners are Klukai and Mechty. Literally all other dolls are paired randomly and have different elemental alignments from their canon teammates.
