Thats one of the situations I consider it to be useful in. When the sapper cant fully destroy the building, and the building gets immediately repaired after, then the vanilla sapper is useless. The red tape recorder is meanwhile useful in this situation because even if you destroy the sapper, it most likely lowered the sentry or other building levels by one or even two. And the engineer then has to be busy upgrading it.

literally no one says this. they say it's annoying to die to and braindead to use. The huntsman is a lot weaker than the rifles and is only decent in certain scenarios. It's only better than The Classic.

It's a funnel/choke sniper. Basically, if the enemies are smooshed into some tight corridor (be it a tunnel, choke, hallway, corner, whatever. Any space where the enemy has limited predictable movement), and the range is close/medium, then the huntsman is very effective. You can headshot people very quickly and more safely compared to the rifles in these scenarios.

Don't use it on very open maps, you'll get raped to death by scunts, stock snipers, bombing soldiers, literally everything. Basically everything counters you, especially stock snipers. They're your hardest counter next to scunts. You are food for both unless they are bad. Heavies also are fine against you once they learn crouching and overheal let them ignore your arrows. reverting control point maps like Sunshine are notably harder for huntsman due to their open areas and fast fights. You'll have a much easier time on Payload, the cart is a great area for you to spam arrows at. SMG is a good secondary for finishing off enemies you bodyshot, Darwin's if you like to play aggressive frontline huntsman because Pyro's will rape you otherwise. Shouldn't need razorback but spies love to backstab you while you're charging.

I recommend you play on Dustbowl to practice. It's basically huntsman heaven, especially on first and last with a dispenser nearby.

Fagtubers are still complaining about how the Ambassador is "le useless" because they made the range slightly smaller... But for some reason they never talk about how the YER Eternal Reward used to be Spy's coolest knife and now it's infinitely worse AND it has bugs in the game right now which is completely unacceptable.

Also make sure to SPAM arrows. You should be spamming arrows at people all the time with huntsman. It's not like the rifles where you should be focusing and hitting the right shots (though do still aim). You really just need to spam arrows at people constantly to be effective. You should be running out of ammo and complaining about the Huntsman's low ammo count, that's how you know you're shooting enough. It's much harder to hit enemies when they're out in the open and have freedom to move around, so again, try to watch over areas where the enemies have limited movement, like hallways, corners, chokes, payload carts, etc.

This is also a good map to practice. The main entrance rooms, bridge, and sewer tunnels are great areas. There's also lots of corners inside each base and it's all very close range.

If you have never been on the receiving end of a spy who is dedicated to ruining your day with the red tape recorder consider yourself lucky. You won't get a single building to level 3. It is pure hell and proves how good of a weapon it is. On the flip side, if you have never bullied an engineer using the red tape recorded there is some sweet nectar you're missing out on. I like L'Etranger + Spycicle + C&D + Red Tape for going fill time bully, you uncloak, sap one or more buildings, then just cloak again. Absolutely devious if done properly. Also, two fun quirks, if you red tape a building it loses upgrade progress instantly, so sap something when it's at 150/175 metal. Additionally, if you sap a building as soon as he places it down after hauling, it almost immediately destroys it. If you see him haul a building, uncloak and follow him around and get in his face, if he knows you're a spy it's all the better because he'll panic place the building and you can just sap it and kill it instantly. Then if an engineer is experienced with this kind of behavior (like myself, because I love engineer and my friend loves red tape spy and playing on the enemy team), just seeing them stand next to you not killing you is worse than death

I’ve been digging into the claims the TF2 Emporium made against Sparcdoc earlier this year. Honestly, it all boils down to 'just trust me.' None of the people making accusations have provided any proof or filed reports with the police. I checked public police records in their countries using their real names and found no sign that they ever contacted law enforcement. There's also nothing else out there to suggest any investigation or legal action is actually happening right now.

What’s really suspicious about the whole thing is that as soon as FryingDutchman made the post, the entire Emporium moderation team just vanished, like they were expecting a legal repercussions.

I'm thinking about reporting FryingDutchman to Discord, they can check his DMs, Emporium server and all the chatlogs including deleted logs and report him and the moderation team to the Police if there's evidence.

Most definitely cheating. I don't know why, but people lately don't know what "flicking" is (The whole recent Battlefield cheating debate). There's "flicking" and "snapping". Flicking is a human movement, you jerk your hand to quickly aim somewhere else. You will always see a natural reactionary movement from doing this, a "kick", as you can't move quickly without some slight kickback from your body

Snapping is different. It's when you go from Point A to Point B, instantly, without any kick. This isn't a human movement, it's a computer's movement. A computer has no physical body so when it moves the cursor there is no kick whatsoever. It's programmatically moving the cursor, not with a mouse and physical force, hence there is no kickback.

In that sniper clip, those are all snaps. There's no human reactionary kick, nor does he even have an initial humanlike movement to the enemies (The scout). That's snapping, a computer program aiming for him. What even more gives it away is the speed. Flicks can be very fast but snapping is instant. If you want to see what real flicks look like, just watch some demoman clips. You'll be able to see the natural human reaction time as well as the kickback humans have from the physical movement we have to perform to aim with a mouse. It's very night and day from that video. that's it really. The map itself teleports you, and directs you, and closes doors automatically, funneling you where you need to go. Defense is always a short distance away from all of the points, even after A and B are taken.

This can be true if that's how the teams are playing, but Steel is designed to naturally separate teams into "groups trying to do various things, which all converge eventually". For example, first will always have half the team rushing A, while some people go to B and a scout or ninjaneer trying to put pressure on E. This then forces defense to react and break up their main defense on A, reliving a lot of pressure for the main group. Stuff like this happens all throughout the game over various points, and it makes Steel games really unique and personalized. It's a massive difference from the same boring Upward game every fucking time. It is, admittedly, a little cramped if E is the last stand, since at that point everyone is just throwing themselves at it and you're all fighting through the same small hallways and the bridges to E.

Nothing is as cramped as Junction though, let's be honest. Junction should be like a melee only map or something. the first A fight is a clusterfuck mess because there's no room to go anywhere or do anything but die. Complete uber dominance makes it so incredibly stale and stomp-heavy.

Dustbowl is shit but it's fun in the sense you can turn your brain off and just shoot people around chokes for 30 minutes without the outcome of the game mattering too much. Perfect map to chill and fuck around on.
