Well, he was 100% correct, this patch is just a sad attempt to fix problems that the community has been crying out but that were not the biggest issues. I have solved the problem of infinite endurance charges without jumping through too many hoops action-wise but I just don't feel like the payoff of a billion ancestral warrior totems is worth it. As it is right now, summoning like 4 AW totems could kill basically anything in the game with relative ease. Locking AW totems behind endurance charges just means clear speed is worse and bossing is marginally better bordering on only worth it for cheesing +4 pinnacles or maybe the new uber arbiter

They are not, and some don't even exist (for those average players we're talking about, which totally exist somewhere). The only one that's the same is getting to the highest tier (on atlas) map.
The endgame bosses of any other piece of content in poe1 are way beyond the amount of maps this average player would run, whereas in poe2 their goal could reasonably be any of them.
Seeking out each citadel and collecting the fragments is a way better system for a casual than a random map boss just dropping an invite saying come fight me now

yeah I think the purpose of maces needs to actually match what they are for in the real world, basically ignoring armour, if you bash some cunt in the head with a mace, it doesn't really matter how much armour they have, so by default I would make them ignore xxxx amount of armour which is something you can scale quite easily as you go up the tiers, and still incorporate stun buildup/duration bonuses if you want. It could also be you make them do "internal trauma" where it does "x.x% of current health as physical damage" or something, making it unscalable if there is a concern about balancing it, could also make it have reduced effect against enemies according to power or something.

I think it's fine to have one or two archetypes (assuming there's like 10+) that are intentionally pretty slow.
What GGG doesn't seem to understand is that if you put something like that in an ARPG it has to be both, retarded tanky and do retarded damage because speed is the otherwise BiS stat for any build.
Just take a look at slams in Poo1, when they initially released for optimal DPS you literally needed to do a more complex rotation than some MMO classes, had shit attack speed and yet people played it because Earth Shatter blew up the entire screen and had really good damage without much investment, allowing you to go more into defense to facilitate standing still.
