after doing some pondering I have come to the conclusion TQ2 being boring isn't just because it's slow.
it's because there is no reason for it to have a slow pace besides emulating older games everyone played a hundred times. if you're not going to try to expand on the depth of combat, exploration or difficulty of encounters there is no excuse to have an arpg where you slowly walk around and kill packs of 5 monsters besides nostalgia bait.

I hated Pandora and thought it insisted upon itself. It was not naturally interesting and I'm convinced the positive sentiment people have towards it was forced and is just because it's an attempt at immersion from Disney. When I go to Diagon Alley, I am naturally made curious to explore the world they have made there. I did not feel that with Pandora.
