US interest rates are relatively high, so higher capital inflows are perfectly in line with expectations. I'm aware that Trump is claiming he has shaken down other countries to the tune of a bazillion gazillion, but whenever I read the fine print of those declarations, they always seem to be legally non-binding declarations of intent, statements that include the phrase "up to", or a rebranding of investments that would've been done anyway.
