I can't imagine it would do a lot of damage per round, it would probably require headshots to kill chaff in a single shot. The way suppressed weapons in this game work (last I checked), enemies don't immediately get alerted to your position the moment you fire a shot, but the impact of the round will draw their attention. I suspect that enemies that are killed near another enemy will cause them to aggro on you regardless of sound, but we'll have to see.
