The mind, spirit and body are more aligned than what we believe. I have a shitty health and been struggling with autoimmune disorders and chronic pain for years so I get you. Each case is different but the root is similar. With that being said, your mind is still clinging at the root of this problem, to the trigger and releasing it is the beginning of your relief. You shouldn't forget what happened, acknowledging the roots is important but do not let it define yourself. Also you need to be realistic regarding your expectations, certain treatments will alleviate but only if you let it do its work, without pressing for a rapid response. I know, easily said than done and trust me I've got my bones hurting and a sore throat as I type all of this and I have opioids on my disposal right next to me but I'm avoiding taking them until it's extremely necessary because I do worry about the consequences of taking them too much and I don't want to get pain resistance. Sorry this isn't about me but as someone currently having the same issue I empathise and wish I could do more for you. But physically, I have to adapt to this new reality, respect your body's boundaries and prioritise your well-being, count your spoons and save them as much as possible. You have to go with the flow, even if the mind wants to run a marathon, let your body rest. Your mind is very powerful, fast and direct like the Knight offset Swords, and that can be used to your advantage.

Anyway, with all that stuff I said, do not neglect your current treatment, get checked with your doctor whenever possible and take the prescribed medication or get them checked if no longer works. Look into alternative medicines but without dropping your current treatment as a complement like reiki, acupuncture, ayurveda massage. And be gentle and patient with your body, sometimes these challenges and pain come to teach us something.

If I can offer some pain management tips: breathing techniques, I use an app called Rewire for relaxing before and after workouts. Ice pack or hot baths, electric massage toys (not what you're thinking of lol), camphor based cream for joints, rest, getting properly hydrated and nourished (avoid inflammatory foods), sunbathing, light stretching because the body can't remain still but only on the good days, stress management is important and try resting as much as possible, there's no shame in not doing anything if you know it's going to cost you later.

Also don't be dumb like me and ask for help if need it, don't hide or pretend everything is fine when you're falling apart. There are people who love and care about you that could give support when you're unwell.
