I don't think Asa is a saint necessarily, but she has consistently show to be very heroic, especially when it comes to people she cares about. He actually underutilizes Shotaji. In fact Denjis internal headspace is basically always hidden and another waste of potential to visualize trauma.

This was a very lukewarm chapter. If I wanted to see Asa Mitaka nonchalantly mary sueing herself out of a hopeless situation I would just read early part 2 again. The fact that she took no damage getting out of there defies all common sense and logic.
