Hey guys, writeanon from the previous thread here.
I refined my idea for the vore ascension story.
Basically, the gyst is as follows
>MC (reader PoV) defeats the demon king, being the last one standing in his party, while the rest are waiting to be revived within soul crystals which contain their essence (they all still levelled up several times over)
>the MC is dead tired from both the fight and hauling a ton of loot. He decides to take a rest in what little remains of their camp before proceeding to the capital to enjoy the spoils and revive his comrades
>the MC is awoken by a magical bureaucrat who promptly informs his of the illegality of the use of soul crystals and that they, regrettably, must be immediately confiscated and utilised

Whenever I think about Metroid, I'm reminded that the nes Manual glazes samus for single handed heroic feats the whole army and all other bounty hunters couldn't accomplish.
It also call "him" a fully cybernetic machine with super powers. Irl we know this was just building up to the "Samus is a girl" twist. In universe however, I like to think it's propaganda to help the men of the army and bounty hunting save face.
Imagine how humiliating it must be for those boys to know a mostly human and fully organic woman is a better savior than them all combined?

There's another option. Become the worlditself.
It could be a Genius Loci, so the earth, water, plants and air is a part of you. You can stay as an unseen force, or have an avatar while dealing with mortals, and shape yourself as you need. Maybe you make an avatar out of the ocean to punish a noisy costal city, or grace them with your blessings.
The world could be an eldrich meatscape, no water or soil, only blood and flesh, and all part of you. You don't live in a hellscape, you ARE the hellscape.

What if plants and animals were extensions of me, like blood cells or white blood cells?
Imagine an entire planet treating human settlers like a virus, activating its immune system to fight back. All flora and fauna would be regenerative and adaptive, constantly evolving to meet the threat.

At first, humans respond with flamethrowers and laser weapons, easily wiping out resistance. Things seem to be going well until, a few months later, the plants become fireproof.

Then the animals begin to change. They grow taller, more agile, stronger. They develop natural armor plating that deflects lasers. Confusion sets in among the humans.

So, they escalate deploying giant mechs to hold the line.
Six months later, the first kaiju emerge.

This would be my ideal scenario.

I had a dream last night about a cat that started awakening as a omni. It's owner was killed in car accident while transporting it and the first thing it did was impale the other driver that lived with glass shards from car's window. Then it wondered into a department store where it started slowly warping reality like making cans of cat food fall off the shelf and open themselves, making sweaters in the clothing section into a kind of fluffy cat igloo, etc. Eventually people noticed that it seemed to be some kind of wish granter because it might fulfill requests it heard around it. Eventually two of the store employees and a customer that had petted it ended up being its "prophets" because it seemed to listen to their requests the most. It was also physically warping them to have physical traits like its original owner. The results were grotesque though with exaggerated large heads, hands and feet like those sensory dolls. I guess because that's how the cat perceived a person. When I woke up diplomats were trying to negotiate with the prophets because the world outside the department store was slowly disappearing because of the cat's lack of interest/knowledge in it.

The other player, completely in character, dared my character to eat the marble, saying she would pay her a hundred dollars if she did, and how we could get the marble back once it got out of the other hole anyway.

Yep. Absolutely did. Found a big "living pathfinder" server with a bunch of hacks that allowed for absurd power levels and went ham on it.
Made a cosmic horror gal that lived in and manifested dreams, ala picrel. Originally she was kind of meant to be a deconstruction of an omni - super powerful, but she can only dream of the world she wants, not create it.

But her whimsically cruel personality had people hooked. They started believing in her dream (and overpowered build).
A public D&D server is gonna have a bunch of power fantasies even if they aren't omni ones, and she was the most interesting.
Not even the server admin's giantess lamia could draw more attention.

Things came to a head after about a year of play. GMs would hurt characters by cutting off limbs, teleporting them to prisons, forcing them to listen to villain monologues...all sorts of petty abuse of power that made me look better for playing a character who was powerful and responsible. People rallied behind my dreaming girl to the point where when the server owner rolled up with the setting's god and tried to pull me out of the plot and erase her memories, she just...had a friend share those memories back, while an OOC riot went out about it.

I was banned soon after, but she had reached omnipotence. Her dream consumed that world entirely, cause I started my own game and stole the majority of the server's playerbase. So my girl went from hijacking another story to being moved to a story that catered to her.

The second game is still going, Life got in the way some, but we've finally got enough GMs to start rotating.
We moved to a setting with actual NPCs and power structures, so an omnipotent player isn't needed to prevent people running amok.
Which means my girl can lay back and relax in someone else's world without having to micromanage it, granting people's dreams for her own amusement and encouraging other people to follow her path to power so she what they create.
It's up in the air if she becomes trusted with absolute power again, but the players could give it over. Or to many other contenders.

I've rolled around with this concept for a while, and many kinds of "screens" for her to occupy.

The main one that saw use, though, was a stained glass window. Served as both an object of worship and a shell surrounding the woman.

Made it clear that she occupied a completely different world and was untouchable, but the main reason was to contain her presence in the dream-world she lived in rather than letting it flow out into reality. The content of the screen changed to reflect her actions, but it was always sanitized/censored for mortal consumption.
