She worked every single day and I barely saw her, so I spent a lot of time thinking and had no one I could trust, not even teachers or friends. Despite my terrible financial status I was denied a scholarship for two years in a row, while everyone in my class who had parents with stable income got like 5000€ a year and free tuition. All I got was 500€ and the desk lady to imply that I must be dealing drugs since you cannot live on 600€/month in this country. I have no job, no degree (yet), I don't want to wageslave for this piece of shit country and there's literally no future for me if I stay here. Trying to fit in with everyone else makes me even more depressed.

Pull ups 3x10.
Wide grip low row 3x10 with 93 kg.
Face pull 3x10 with 32 kg.
Added face pull for my shoulder issues, let's see if it helps.

I just could not be assed to do that today.
I got the shoulder gains I wanted, so I'll drop shoulder volume back to the usual 3 from the current 6 sets, and increase bench volume back to 6 sets from the current 3.
Might also modify my PPL split a bit, and do 6 sets of chest on push day 1, and do 6 sets of shoulders on push day 2. Honestly, I really enjoy training delts. Feels really nice.

No, studies constantly show that higher volumes lead to more growth, if we count 6 sets of shoulders + the 6 sets of chest as partial sets for delt so 3 sets for delts then it would be 9 sets twice a week 18 sets a week which isn't that much.

Essentially what these pics means is that in all studies that have been done comparing exercise volume, more sets have lead to more growth, and in different studies the studies with more volume have also lead to more gains.
Comparison between studies is not always simple because they can for example do different exercises but because the amount of studies on muscle volume is quite high the confidence in the results is higher and the difference for example if one study was done for quad hypertrophy and another for biceps hypertrophy get ironed out.

Also, when I say absolute failure, I mean a weight and a rep range where the last rep absolutely btfo's me. So sure I could also take a lower weight and a higher rep to failure too, but I could recover from that in 4 minutes tops and do the same set again. Whereas at absolute failure, I must either sacrifice weight or rep as I won't be able to do that same weight and rep range again for at least 3 days.

Training close to failure is shown to be good for hypertrophy but not really matter for strength in the literature, I think the reason it helps you is because by doing really heavy weigth you stop being a bitch and try harder the next day.
Also I don't think it matters that much if your next set is a bit weaker, as long as you take it close to failure.
