I'm sincerely close to converting to Christianity, but there's too much shady and suspicious schismatic nonsense that happened in the first couple centuries, not to mention aposotolic succession has been utterly broken in my opinion, the papacy was available for purchase at several points. If this kind of break in lineage happened in Buddhism their monastery or school of thought would be shut down and abandoned. Some thing is being hidden about Jesus and about Christianity in general, and all the apologetics I read and hear are pretty thin. I pray to God every day to just give me the truth of the matter. I currently think that if you subscribe to most mainstream Christianity, you're braindead. Even worse if you intellectually justify it like a used car salesman. Something much more profound is buried within Christianity that simply is not being given to the masses.
