This is what happens when you lose the way of the otaku. Real gatekeeping is spamming anime girls constantly, these are the people who should have been gatekept. I will spam anime girls and be super gay until they go away.

Are you pretending to be retarded? If I want to play something on epic's game store I don't need to buy a new $600 piece of hardware. All launchers are free on PC which means all storefronts are competing based purely on their appeal to the consumer. You don't "buy in" for a particular storefront. For example, remember when Epic tried giving away "free" games and this ultimately produced shitty titles no one wanted? Well, if Epic was a console you had to pay $600 to gain access to, the people that did that would be stuck with it due to sunken cost fallacy and that cancerous agenda would have succeeded. This is why consoles are able to have a plethora of anti-consumer practices, like paid online. This is why the Switch 2 has a crappy LCD screen, so its 20 years behind in terms of display technology, worse than even phones. They're cutting quality to the absolute minimum just to compete in terms of pricing. Like I can buy an android tablet and use it to read manga, can't do that on a Switch because its a game only kids toy. The steam deck is literally a portable universal media box, that you can rip apart and upgrade with no proprietary hardware. This should be the standard for ALL gaming hardware.

Smashwords literally partnered with Paypal to reverse the same exact situation Steam is in now.
From 2012:
In a victory for free speech, PayPal today announced plans to revise their content policies to allow Smashwords writers full freedom to publish and sell legal ebooks.
I met with PayPal at their offices yesterday in San Jose. They outlined their proposed policy changes for me. I was impressed.
This is a victory for all writers and readers. It removes credit card companies, banks and payment processors from the business of censoring legal fiction. It creates a new precedent that should allow other payment processors who have previously discriminated against legal fiction to relax their policies.
It will make more fiction more available to more readers. It gives writers greater freedom to express themselves. It gives readers more freedom to decide what they want to experience in the privacy of their own imagination.
If you haven't followed the Paypal censorship saga, you can see how the campaign developed by reading my email dispatches to Smashwords authors, publishers and customers. They're archived in the Smashwords Press Room (see PayPal #1, #2, #3, #4, #5).
When I received the first email from PayPal February 18 with the ultimatum to remove certain erotica content or face loss of PayPal services at Smashwords, my first inclination was to try to limit the damage so we could protect mainstream erotica from further censorship incursion. Thanks to the outpouring of opposition to these policies, I saw an opportunity to make PayPal our partner in a greater campaign to protect all legal fiction from censorship.

>The only thing objective in your post was the number of games released on certain platforms
There is logically no reason why console games would be superior to PC games.
These two demos I played over the last year are better than any nintendo platformer I played in the last 2 decades:
https://youtu.be/2Qnrnq3ivuQ
https://youtu.be/VsIv2TE3CfA
Additionally, these were made for PC first and foremost
https://youtu.be/Wlq6fFOqI28
https://youtu.be/WCrQ1EgMZXM
https://youtu.be/2qhUTz6ldmI
https://youtu.be/Z6JVT2Sp8aQ
And all play very poorly on consoles due to having above average difficult and demanding high levels of precision. There are no superior games on consoles, sorry to say, this is a ghost that casuals that don't know any better chase. Best multiplayer games are on PC, best indies are on PC, every console game worth a damn gets ported onto PC. A classic example is Bloodborne. I have a PS3 and PS4, I played it thoroughly, and lemme tell its an awful overrated piece of trash where 90% of the decent content is loaded into the DLC. There is no 20 year old "hidden gem" for you to dig up, people that say this always have assloads of movie games and little kid slop. I can guarantee you that the games you have posted are awful.

>Lodoss is only great for the art and aesthetics.
No the fuck it isn't. Look at this shit man. Look at how shallow and sloppily choreographed Lodoss is.

Anime is great now, this is the problem with retro larpers, they fool themselves into thinking absolute garbage is good, they don't know anything about art and aesthetics, and they try to drag everyone else down into their misery. Its no wonder this place is so boring. I already discussed this all 20 years ago. Move on or go talk about it on reddit. Being a newfag is in vogue there so you'll get a lot of updoots if you say you found a copy of Lodoss in your grandma's attic and are watching it for the first time.

Hmmm, well gosh, that doesn't sound like an argument. Guess I won the thread.
