you can dop az number of things and tactics to take down the convoys. its one of these game where you need a certain IQ to squeeze more fun out of it. if youre the kind to use the most basic shit for everything to close as fast as possible or spam overpowered moves in games instead of not using them then yeah you ll just blast evrything with the spears or gas tanks and there is no gameplay
the story has a good vibe like the movies as well like the dude with glasses or this one

Why are small devs like this
>>714025579CreamAPI = Permaban
>>714025829Because the game is doing well, giving big sales when your title sells regardless is bad business
>>714025837and pirating = lawsuit and prison?
>>714025793There is a difference when you might just want to play the main story, but the game by design forces you to do side quests that you don't care about. Any open world I can think of would be worse off with this addition. The writing and characters are often just not interesting, nor the mission design for these side pieces of content.
Is Jerez arena good if I like slave training? What about the sequels?
Any other good slave trainers? Anything where you can own girls is great!
Don't make fun of me
Are the Sword Art Online games good? They have an aesthetic that I enjoy.
Does the steam store runs like ass for anyone else?
>>714024584Fine. I did it another way so it's more interesting than just text. I mostly bought VN's because I have a backlog for most other genres. SteamWorld Dig was free and Bioprototype still is free if anyone is interested.

I bought:
Nier Automata
Crazy Taxi Goes Vroom
Super Sami Roll
Crosscode
Curse Crackers
Bat Boy
I tried them all and they were all really good so far.
>>714015929 (OP)I haven't bought anything...
My backlog already has way too much and I don't feel like playing anything at all...
>>714016072I bought 3 RPGs
>>714026105I've only played the Hollow ones (Fragment and Realization), but they are alright if you want:
>swords (big, small, curved, nippon steel folded over 1000 times ,etc.)>grinding on top of grinding, numbers go up and all that>pressing all of the buff buttons in your hotbars before a boss fight>dating anime girls (from the original chinese cartoon, some new ones, some randomly-generated chicks)in a single package.
Combat-wise, Hollow is a bit closer to a MMO (sort of) than Realization is a bit closer to an action game, but you will be spamming buffs and attack skills in both of them.
All the bad things about the anime don't mean much in the games because the games are set in an alternative timeline (until Fatal Bullet, at least). And it's not like it matters, you will spend 90% of the time killing MMO mobs and cheating on your wife.
Can't say much about the rest of the games, people say Lost Song is gay, Fatal Bullet is good if you prefer guns over swords, and apparently Alice is not even a JRPG.
Alternatively, get the .Hack Collection.

i guess if you are like me and enjoy Roguelikes, you will have a good time, but if you dont, it might be less appealing
the other recommendations are more traditional Metroidvanias, except Steamworld Dig, that one is a little bit weird too, and the 3D ones i suppose
>>714034096Biggest issue now is that the game is built around voice acting but has none of it. It's better than Starfield.

>>714036357>For it to be a metroidvania it'd have to be an action platformer first and foremost. This is incorrect. Metroidvanias are inherently terrible platformers because levels have to be designed to be played forwards and backwards and out of order. For mechanical challenge you couldn't pick a worse and more casual subgenre of platformer than "metroidvania", which is why dumb normalfags like them. Games like La Mulana play into that genre's actual strengths. If you are just looking for a braindead casual platformer just say so.

Couple questions:
I want to play Death Stranding but I already have the base game for free on Epic. I feel dumb paying for a Director's Cut of a game I already have, is it worth paying for the upgrade?
Is Talos Principle worth playing if I want a puzzle game with a bit more "substance" like Portal 1 and 2? I like puzzles and admittedly Portal is easy but I'm a storyfag and part of why I like them so much was story, setting, characters, etc. Pure puzzle games like Portal Reloaded were cool but without a story to anchor them I wasn't very invested.
How is Animal Well?

>>714036745why does a free game have a demo?
>>714035619Torchlight 2 is a good game, dont fucking buy it
the reason is simple, if you want to play that game with friends online, you need to make an account on an unresponsive website that hasnt been updated since 2012, and good fucking luck if you lose your password
without that account you can only play solo or on lan
am I a zoomer if I'm not enjoying psychonauts?
>>714036719>>714036813Hades should never have been a roguelite in the first place. Its main draw is the story and characters, the gameplay is ass and only serves to push the story along, like in every Supergiant game before it.

>>714036864Haven't played it but the director's cut of DS is a completely separate game, the og DS had the servers shut off so if you want the whole experience you have to get the director's cut now.
>>714035606i used to think that, then i discovered you can fire notes on a corner then spam spin kick on em to create an AoE of death, the notes also block projectiles, which is super useful in certain rooms and challenges

>>714036864>>714036938Death Stranding is kind of a divisive game. Some people really like it, others don't like it at all. I'd probably play the base game first, and if you REALLY like it, upgrade to the Director's Cut for your second playthrough.
Unrelated, but Killer7 isn't all that great IMO. The story is complete nonsense, the controls are trash, gameplay ranges from "meh" to decent. But that's just me.
>>714037128who the fuck buys UNO on steam?
>>714036575>This is incorrect. Metroidvanias are inherently terrible platformers because levels have to be designed to be played forwards and backwards and out of order. For mechanical challenge you couldn't pick a worse and more casual subgenre of platformer than "metroidvania", which is why dumb normalfags like them. You are just stating the reason why you dislike the genre, which is fair enough, but doesn't change the definition of it. The same way you don't call a 3d game a metroidvania, but open world instead, even though metroidvanias are just 2d open world, or open world being 3d metroidvania, however you prefer to phrase it. And yes, I do agree with you that metroidvanias are an extremely casual genre, but the point is the exploration, not a challenge.
>If you are just looking for a braindead casual platformer just say so.You are wrongly defining a genre, retarded weeaboo. This is a pointless statement.
>>714037130Roguelites, why?
>>714036864>How is Animal WellIts fun, exploring it was fun. I don't know if its $8.61 fun but its unironically better than everything else in your cart except DELTARUNE which I haven't played because its not finished.
>Is Talos Principle worth playing if I want a puzzle game with a bit more "substance" like Portal 1 and 2Its not cinematic like Portal but its actually better written and cool as shit. The puzzles aren't hard. I'd argue they're more challenging than Portal, but a bit more tedious at some parts. The game especially delights in misleading you, trying to naturally lead you down a path that requires many steps that go nowhere when a puzzle can be solved in 2 seconds... So its encouraging you to actually think instead of autopilot a fair bit. It feels like many rooms are purposely designed to make you feel stupid and humbled, which is appropriate given the overarching narrative.

Thanks for the Talos opinions, it's just $2 for me so couldn't hurt. This whole chart is like $30 anyways and I don't plan to buy it all right now.
>>714037671i dunno
im reminded a bit of how Mandalore described System Shock:
>"its about total freedom inside of a prison"theres a lot of freedom in Metroidvanias but i wouldnt call it open world, since the constrains are well defined, and you lessen those constrains little by little as you unlock upgrades
>>714037215>The same way you don't call a 3d game a metroidvania, but open world instead, even though metroidvanias are just 2d open world, or open world being 3d metroidvania,>Open world games are 3D metroidvanias
>>714037684Incredibly well balanced and actually good gameplay. The procedural generation aspect is to prevent memorization, not function as a slot machine, which is at the heart of what "rogue" is supposed to be. Lifting this onto a shooter just makes it more like an arcade game, and unlike gungeon, which is slow as molasses and boring, its fun to aim for as many loops as possible. I've never had a boring game of Nuclear Throne.
>>714037836everyone has UNO dipshit, it came free with your fucking Xbox
>>714037684 Nuclear Throne is just raw chaos in the best way possible. Every run youโre juggling ammo scarcity, enemy patterns, and dumb luck, all while sprinting around at a million miles per hour trying not to explode. Gungeon is slick and polished but it gets bogged down with bloat-too many guns, too much waiting around, and rolls that feel like homework. Throne hits faster, harder, and actually respects your time. Plus those music tracks slap.
>>714034804I've seen those games in other anons carts so they're probably pretty good.
>>714037927>>714038021I've tried playing more NT recently and I've got overwhelmed really fast, it's just insane bullshit at insane speeds all the time. I think I'm getting old.
>>714037720well that aint helpful
>>714037927interesting, see i prefer when my roguelikes/lites have hand crafted levels and just use procedural generation to shuffle them around
NT levels feel a bit like they blur together, atleast to me
>>714038104>I think I'm getting old.It has nothing to do with age. You just aren't trying any more.
>>714038164>see i prefer when my roguelikes/lites have hand crafted levelsThat's objectively bad and lazy module design. In a real roguelike, the easier the modules are to recognize and memorize, the worse the game often is.
>>714038185>You just aren't trying any more. How dare you. I legitimately have to try more to perform same as I did before, or worse.
>>714033597Try playing on Don't Hurt Me, enemies react to getting hit more often on that difficulty, so it's more satisfying overall.
>>714038367I'm 35 and it's definitely an effort issue. Brain elasticity and motor control dissipates with disuse and will return with effort. If you don't play hard games then your ability to be good at them will decline.
>>714038267but its not just about memorization, you get presented with random scenarios in roguelites constantly and you must adapt on the fly
for me thats the fun part, adapting on the fly, premade rooms means the challenge im presented with is somewhat consistent
>>714038550It's true that I've mostly been playing turn-based shit lately... Okay, shit, better put my nose to the grindstone then. Some of the achievements really do look nigh impossible though.
>>714037887I'm not really into 3d open world games, but they usually limit where you can go by main or side quest state (IE city gate or cave is closed and there is no way to enter, or the other way around, cave only opens up later after an event blows up a hole on it) or ocean, requiring a boat, which may not be readily available in a specific game. Sure, they may have on average a higher level of freedom on average, but still has some restrictions. Never played System Shock specifically, so I can't judge the statement, but I'd point out to Rabi-ribi as far as high level of freedom goes, a game in which you can beat it skipping all mobility upgrades, using only "unexplained" movement tech that is readily available from the start of the game.
>>714038694>It's true that I've mostly been playing turn-based shit latelyRPGs are 99% goyslop for a reason
>>714038521Also, crouching gives you insane accuracy, something I notice a lot of people don't know about.
