Why would he fake a illness and pretend to be on the edge of biting the bullet? to mislead (you)?
The only way he's knocking out Undyne and running with her to the bunker is if he's faking it.
Also there's several clues that the Knight has a very close bond with Kris. Would Rudy really count? I guess you could argue he might have became a father-like figure in his life when the divorce was occuring but it still feels like a stretch. The scene in my image wouldn't fit with Rudyknight either

my interpretation was that it was dess in some form, whether that be as the knight or just plain old lost girl
the guitar sound that's set to 0% volume in the code seems to play towards that theory

I'm not sure I entirely buy the goner hand theory but all the hand imagery in the recent chapters is suspect for sure.

The Roaring Knight may be an aspect of Dess, but I think it's pretty clear that Dess that actually loved Kris is separated and trapped in between worlds or something.
