Exactly as you said, they have upper management and engineers, but no artist in between, so everything looks like trash. Who thought that starting the game with the ugliest and most graphically demanding climate was a good idea?

As you know the game is open world and there are these wide, completely straight "intermission tracks before the actual tracks (which are also meh). Ofc most people just want to play normal tracks and the only way to play those online is to pick "random" instead of picking a course during the poll. Picking a course directly always has the boring intermissions while "random" for some reason doesn't and lets you play normal tracks
