They just wear whatever was popular at their time and also darker colours because the Dark Triad or sumthin. Point is, it fits them very well. However I do think Ashley is forcing a style on herself and her personal liking is the overalls and striped shirt and stuff (though her current outfit is pure sister-sexo too). I don't think they will abandon their lackluster colours when they mature in the Epilogue (trust the plan) and become sunshine and rainbows either. Andrew on the other hand, is genuinely hopeless and depressed so his current style is both his choice and fits his attitude.

i like these as their hypothetical post-reconcilion looks.
They look more put together because they're no longer depressed, Ashley n ow wears more elegant clothes(princess), with jewerly like her mom and grandma, while Andrew graduated from emo boy to a more classic literature gothic author look.
Both also have more kept hair.
