You literally cannot progress through Chapter 4 unless you ease off your control enough to let Kris play the piano on their own
In the same Chapter the Weird Route has you directly reveal YOURself to Noelle, something that Kris wants to avoid at all costs (they will literally grab her and run out of the room if you let yourself get spotted before you re-possess them) and they will beat the shit out of you afterward for what YOU did
YOU force Kris to do things, this could not be made any more clear.
