The whole "Mobius vs Earth" thing was moot when Archie decided to make them the same planet. I wanna know wtf the were thinking with "Freedom" but the OVA planet was admittedly pretty different with its Land of the Sky / Land of Darkness schtick.
Whatever the case, I think most of us can agree Sonic's World was lame.

That's not even the proper use of the term. All "Mobian" ever meant was the Mobius equivalent of the "Earthlings" on Earth. That's it. And since Mobius -is- a future version of Earth, 'overlanders' are just mildly-evolved humans that coexist with the animal-people. Both groups of people are "Mobians."
Blame the Wikia for simplifying this shit.

Say it with me.
"Humans are mobians (definition: intelligent lifeform of Mobius); the wiki is full of shit!"

But the rules are clear on this: Bean's mother has to be a woodpecker (Bin is a duck).
Wasn't Lucy Bin & Pin's owner? doggonnit

I don't think there was a reason given, though some people have joked that Eggman is Cream's father and Advance 2 was just some custody battle he had with Vanilla.

Battle was weirdly written because it released earlier than Heroes and was based on earlier drafts where Gamma and Chaos appeared, which is why Omega is only mentioned in one line of dialogue by Rouge. Cream may prefer not to fight, but she basically has an attack animal to do the fighting for her. Her character development in Battle was about overcoming her aversion to fighting. Which makes no sense since she's already proven to be capable, but maybe you can excuse it when you realize her problems may stem from Amy nearly killing herself in training.

Well, these are the Archie rules. Pre-reboot, specifically. However...
>Fang, a jerboa, is supposed to be half-wolf (sometimes said to be half-weasel), but I think he just fucks with people
>Bean's a woodpecker despite his father being a duck
>the occasional interspecies romances across media
>OVA's "Seira" character has traits of a catgirl, with a cat tail and (presumably) cat ears hidden by her 'ribbon'
>the western cartoons have a mishmash in the supporting cast, like Sally the chipmunk's father was supposed to be a fox
Yeah the Archie rule probably aren't far off, they're just the only ruleset we have.
