I accepted it had to end up how it did because of all the time travel stuff being the focus, and I was happy at the end and had some tears, but I was completely let down in the Hiruko aspect. Everything beforehand with Hiruko made me like her but then how she acts in SF made me dislike her. Really confusing they have no romance anything come up aside from some Takumi teasing considering they both remember the end of Slasher. Of course gets brought up at the end but she really wasted her time getting to be alone with Takumi if she really loved him enough to let everyone else die instead of him to hear him say he loves her. I really don’t like that she’s only able to be nice/honest once a route is fucked. I don’t like it at all.
I wish we got to see her be vulnerable and honest with Takumi like a Retsnom but they were mostly before the lock and then that one scene where she thinks she isn’t going to get to join everyone. That one was sweet but really could’ve used more of that she’s such a bitch in the rest of it.

I would like to call attention to the route with the least positive attention to it, someone on twitter liked it enough like I did to make a meme following a gimmick type video for it but I feel it still works as its own thing. I think it’s still really nice. Even if slasher is sloppily written it has my favorite Hiruko writing

I think the idea is Takumi G is enough of an asshole to cut them up enough to make them unrevivable. But then there’s some 100% survivable kills that happen like the 2 at the end which are one cut, and in that Nozomi protag end Tsubasa only gets cut once too. That’s less damage than getting killed in a damn defensive battle cmon now.
I really really really really wish they’d cleared up that in slasher the drones got messed with like KG/Mystery. Takumi does ask why didn’t a drone pick up Moko and they go I dunno, so maybe it’s meant to be implied if you did the other routes first??? There’s enough stupid stuff in zombies for me to just chalk it up to sloppy writing though. At least it has my favorite Hiruko writing
