- NPC black phantoms are the only hard enemies in the game and they're just stupid OP to compensate for the horrible AI
- only 18 armor sets instead of 56 in dark souls (and much more in later games), and half of the sets are gender locked (5 male only, 4 female only)
- only very specific builds can roll in metal armor, most armor starting with leather imposes stamina regen penalties making it literally worthless
- ng+ difficulty spike is too big, requires cheesy builds like warding + light weapon
- world tendency, character tendency
- item burden
- broken archstone (a whole world with many cool enemy types, multiple bosses and NPC quest lines was cut from the game)

An initially fun experience until you realize the only interaction you have with the world is making number go up and murdering everyone. No actual faction manipulation. No real thought process behind conflict. Any attempt at roleplaying is hollow and pointless in the end. Mods egg this on and don't actually fix anything. 2 will be more of the same because zergtards make up the majority. Don't get me wrong. That first playthrough is pretty nice and will run you about 200-something hours, but once you get to the endgame you'll see what I'm talking about. Worth a pirate. Don't give Nat and her alphabet soup squad money.

I don't know what these guys are doing. They had some good success early on with Remember Me, Life is Strange, and Vampyr. And then immediately after that success it's like they went "now how can we make our games giga woke?" and put out like 5 games that were DEI soapboxes and all failed. And now they're on the verge of closing down.

Devs pushed the story angle really hard and streamlined the fuck out of everything else, you no longer need to gather or prepare, you don't need to learn the maps or monster movesets, so casual players bought it, blasted through the story and then uninstalled, which left the game with no active player base.

Got up to the final upgrade tier, caught all the legendaries, optimized slavery, made a couple of uberpals on that Gobfin type shit and raped everything. Joined a multiplayer server and sure enough got curtain bombed by chinks spamming smiley faces in the chat five minutes in. Absolute dogshit game. Some really nice designs though. Teafant is probably my favorite. Drew some porn. I respect Pocketpair for actually loving their fans. They don't deserve the lawsuit fuckery and I'd be mildly upset if they croaked.
