I also started reading CSM because of Yoru's design. That's why it's weird to me when people keep bringing up long-dead P1 characters that didn't seem all that interesting.
I guess you had to be there to really feel them.
For me, they were just a bunch of guys who had a few gags, showed up for maybe 10% of an arc, never fought a named opponent and then just died.
