There's weird shit going on with him, in the first two in-game days when you check his house you hear the shuffling of the trousle. But in the end of chapter 4, you can look in and its empty/silent.
Now does this mean that he's the knight or some other crazy shit? Likely not but it probably has some meaning considering toby was consistent with the trousle thing for both chapters 1 and 2.

The day 4 thing messes with me too, and almost makes me want to believe that the knight is papyrus somehow, since at the same time sans house is empty the knight is presumely hiding out in the church. But I'm self aware to admit this is all just schizo nonsense/copium.
Regardless, it does feel strange for toby to mention the trousle twice in a row and suddenly void it for no apparent reason.
