There is a "ceiling" to my "masking" ability. People at these places might say hello to me but anything beyond that they start treating me different to how they talk to others, like i'm a different species, I've tried saying different things etc but the outcome is always the same, at worse they look at me like i'm some massive weirdo at best they give some sympathetic response and walk off.
I don't think i'm ugly really, I worked on personal grooming too and put some effort into dressing better, it works on first impressions but falls apart swiftly after.
I tried the volunteering route to get a job and pretty much got bullied and humilated out of it so gave up, the only thing I could possibly do is stuff I can create on my own but motivation is hard to come by without a rigid foundation.
