I just need one: aggressively ban shit in standard, if they're gonna pump out 90 sets per month and extend rotation to 100 years, the only real regulating element is removing the strongest offenders, if that leads to too many bans, that's fine, there's like, 1 billion cards legal in the format now, you'll find something else to play

>but muh deck investments
play your gay deck in pioneer, that's the whole fucking reason the format exists, to be standard's dumping ground, it's probably gonna be competitive there given how broken standard cards are printed these days

Bloomburrow is a meme. It's mechanics are honestly shit. Gift is ether negative card advantage or who gives a fuck tier like gift a fish, might as well be the default mode at that point. Forage is forgettable and Expend is actually just a dogshit mechanic. Valiant isn't bad but will forever be remembered for the most obnoxious standard red list of the last 5 years. New tribes like rabbits, lizards, and bats are too thin to build around and have received actual zero support since BLB.

Offspring is the lone good mechanic in the set but that doesn't elevate it above the other sets last year. I'd definitely put it below Duskmourn, and even though it has OTJ beat on flavor OTJ is a significantly more mechanically interesting and sound set. Every set this year minus Aetherdrift has been better. I will never understand Flopburrow defenders, it's a cute flavor set and nothing more.

It's a clear reference to this card and to the obvious TCG fact that cheap cards with easy to access benefits often end up being the most overpowered over massively powerful but hard to cast cards.

I really don't expect any good card game design from anyone at this point.

I'm playing mtg arena.

Ironic how 9 years ago mtg was considered a more slow grindy game than svg while today average mtg game takes less turns than average svg one.

It can overwhelm people on like turn 3-5 for a turn 5-6 win. But the real problem is this little guy.
