I'm not sure you understand what people are getting at. This Superman feels way more intimate and reminiscent of a Saturday morning cartoon than Snyder's DCU or any MCU movie. The Spiderman trilogy is the closest comparison. Both that trilogy and this movie are unapologetically sincere to the source material and have self-awareness to recognize its broader cultural impact.
