I don't know what they're hoping to accomplish. STD is dead and buried, Picard was embarrassing, Lower Drecks was put down prematurely, Prodigy got fucking removed from Paramount+ and will be lost media soon, and Strange New Worlds got its execution date two years ahead.

Nothing has been greenlit. Nothing will be greenlit. Secret Hideout is just flailing, desperately trying to keep their lucrative contract with Paramount going. SNW is going to end with a pity five-episode "season" that will be just more creatively bankrupt nostalgia faggotry. NuTrek is going to end with adventures of DEI teenagers in Starfleet Academy, assuming the show won't get just Zaslav'd outright. Skydance wants to put the franchise on ice, because much like Kurtzman, they think it's not bringing in the numbers anymore.
