not that anon, but imo darktide's melee needs to be pretty lenient because there's fuckers with laser pointers dinking the shit out of you 15 feet away and if you get hung up on a crusher or a bulwark you're gonna get shredded.
TLDR Darktide needs faster/simpler melee because of the existence of ranged fodder
