I donno, on one hand the game is obviously not done at all and everyone can tell it needs A LOT of work.
But on the other hand, if it was just a quick cashgrab/scam by the devs, I don't think they would have made a beta like this for everyone to see the state of the game instead of just releasing it as early access and making money that way.
So I think either they were forced by their producers(?) to rush it and release it way before it's done
or
This is an actual super early viewing of the game and they will actually put effort/time to make a proper game.
