And because of the way he was constructed, as a schizophrenic non-character whose views and character changes depending on the quest you're on. A man who espouses modern day Californian liberal political views all the while massacring entire villages of white people (very fitting), he wasn't sympathetic at all to anyone who isn't a political-religious extremist.
He shoots up the whole male population of that little mountain town without any of them deserving it, but somehow he gets upset over racism. This is pretty much how the fucking woke mind works at this point. Mass murder and usury are wonderful and acceptable, but don't you dare do the hecking racism!
