I find it amusing that people only compare Superman with MoS like those are the only two movies that ever mattered. It's obvious to me that WB originally envisioned MoS as a follow-up to the success of the Dark Knight movies, what with Nolan's name all over the marketing and MoS coming out one year after TDKR. So I imagine alarm bells immediately going off when at WB when MoS made HALF of what TDKR made (that was a 1B movie). Not to mention the Avengers being a 1.5B movie and the polarizing reaction to MoS.
Meanwhile Superman has released in an environment where Hollywood blockbusters in general (and DC films in particular) becoming catastrophic flops is the norm. So for it to make almost but not quite as much as MoS (but with a better audience reaction), it's no wonder they seem optimistic at this stage. At least it's not as bad as the Flash, Blue Beetle, or Batwoman

I find it crazy how this game constantly makes awful choices in both story and gameplay and people constantly are hating on it yet it still remains far more popular than WoW. WoW doesn’t even get discussed online anymore and the only reason someone searches it up on google is to see the latest clown troony show that is the story. XIV is fucking dogshit and it’s the best that mmocucks have. How did it end up like this?
